The 16th annual Ale Kino! International Young Audience Film Festival was held from 27 April to 1 May 1998. A number of 47 movies took part. [1]
The movies were presented in four cinemas in Poznań: Apollo, Rialto, Muza and Gwiazda. [2]
The movies were judged by professional and children jury, as well as by International Centre of Films for Children and Young People (CIFEJ).

Santosh Sivan is an Indian cinematographer, film director, producer and actor known for his works in Malayalam cinema, Tamil cinema and Hindi cinema. Santosh graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and has to date completed 55 feature films and 50 documentaries. He is a founding member of the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC) and is the most awarded Director of Photography (DOP) in India.

Come and See is a 1985 Soviet anti-war film directed by Elem Klimov and starring Aleksei Kravchenko and Olga Mironova. Ale Kino! International Young Audience Film Festival is an international movie event held in Poznań in Poland since 1969. The festival focuses on more ambitious cinema addressed to children and young people. The main organizer of the festival is Children's Art Center in Poznań.

Children KinoFest is an annual international film festival for children and teenagers, founded in Kiev, Ukraine in 2014. The festival takes place at the end of May, and is held in various Ukrainian cities. This national event, held throughout the country cultivates an appreciation film and an introduction to the filmmaking industry to the young public. Owlet Charlie is a logo, mascot and symbol of Children KinoFest. This character is based on a picture created by 7-year-old Artem Rassadnikov from Donetsk. Charlie is named after Charlie Chaplin, whose 125th birthday was in 2014. The event has recently partnered with Odessa International Film Festival, also based in Ukraine.
