Jack Leggett is an American head college baseball coach. He was recently the head coach of the Clemson Tigers from 1994 to 2015. Under Leggett, the Tigers reached the College World Series six times. As of the end of the 2012 season, he had a career record of 1,224–694–1, with seven conference tournament titles and 23 NCAA Tournament appearances.

The Vermont Catamounts are the varsity intercollegiate athletic programs of the University of Vermont, based in Burlington, Vermont, United States. The school sponsors 18 athletic programs, most of which compete in the NCAA Division I America East Conference (AEC), of which the school has been a member since 1979. The men's and women's ice hockey programs compete in Hockey East. The men's and women's alpine and nordic skiing teams compete in the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA). The school's athletic director is Robert Corran.
The Catamount Cup is an annual men's college ice hockey tournament hosted by the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. The tournament is contested by the Vermont Catamounts and three visiting teams. Since the inaugural tournament in 1990, it has been held on and off either just before or after New Year's Eve.
The Vermont Catamounts Men's Basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. The school's team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at Patrick Gym. The team has reached the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament seven times, in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2012, 2017 and 2019. UVM famously upset Syracuse University in the first round of the 2005 tournament. The Catamounts are coached by John Becker.

The team competed in the NCAA Division I and were members of the Yankee Conference. The school's first football team was fielded in 1886. The football program was discontinued at the conclusion of the 1974 season.
Thomas John "T. J." Sorrentine an American former basketball player and current associate head coach of Brown University. Sorrentine is widely known from his collegiate playing career at Vermont, hitting a three-pointer with 1:10 remaining to help the 13-seed Catamounts defeat fourth-seeded Syracuse 60–57 in overtime in the first round of the 2005 NCAA Tournament for the school's first-ever tournament win.
The 2014–15 Vermont Catamounts women's basketball team will represent the University of Vermont in the America East Conference. The Catamounts were led by fifth year head coach Lori Gear McBride and will once again play their home games in the Patrick Gym. They finished the season 5-24, 2-14 in America East play in a tie for an eighth-place finish. They lost in the quarterfinals of the 2015 America East Women's Basketball Tournament to Albany.

The first intercollegiate game in the state of Vermont happened on November 6, 1886, between Dartmouth and Vermont at Burlington, Vermont. Dartmouth won 91 to 0.
The 2015–16 Western Carolina Catamounts men's basketball team represented Western Carolina University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Catamounts, led by 11th year head coach Larry Hunter, played their home games at the Ramsey Center and were members of the Southern Conference. They finished the season 16–18, 10–8 in SoCon play to finish in a tie for fifth place. They defeated Wofford to advance to the semifinals of the SoCon Tournament where they lost to Chattanooga. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they lost in the first round to Vermont.
