Zamalek SC

Zamalek Sporting Club, commonly referred to as Zamalek, is an Egyptian sports club based in Cairo, Egypt. The club is mainly known for its professional football team, which currently plays in the Egyptian Premier League, the top tier of the Egyptian football league system.

Egyptian Premier League

The Egyptian Premier League is a professional association football league in Egypt and the top level of the Egyptian football league system. The league comprises 18 teams since the 2015–16 season and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Egyptian Second Division. Seasons mostly run from August to May. Unlike most other leagues, all games are played all over the week. All of the Egyptian Premier League clubs qualify for the Egypt Cup. Cairo derby

The Cairo Derby is a football match between Egyptian clubs Al Ahly SC and Zamalek. It is a match between arguably the two most successful clubs in Egypt and Africa. Ahly and Zamalek were named by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as The 1st and 2nd African Clubs of the 20th Century respectively. Both teams are located in Greater Cairo and their matches are considered the highlight of the football season with a live broadcast to most of the Middle Eastern and North African countries since the 1970s. Usually the derby is played twice each season with 2 matches in the Egyptian Premier League, but it is not uncommon to find the teams meeting each other in the Egypt Cup, especially in the final, and in Africa's most prestigious club competition, the CAF Champions League.

Ali Mohammed El-Kaf El-Sayed was an Egyptian football defender who played for Egypt in the 1934 FIFA World Cup. He also played for Zamalek SC.

1921 Sultan Hussein Cup Final, was the final match of the 1920–21 Sultan Hussein Cup, was between El-Mokhtalat and Schroeders from Great Britain, El-Mokhtalat won the match 2–1 after extra time, became the 1st Egyptian team to win the cup.

2011 Egypt Cup Final, was the final match of 2010–11 Egypt Cup, when Zamalek played ENPPI at Cairo Stadium in Cairo.

1930 Sultan Hussein Cup Final, was the final match of the 1929–30 Sultan Hussein Cup, was between Tersana and El-Mokhtalat, Tersana won the match 1–0.

1957 Egypt Cup Final, was the final match of the 1956–57 Egypt Cup, was between Zamalek and Al-Masry, Zamalek won the match 3–0.

1938 Egypt Cup Final, was the final match of 1937–38 Egypt Cup, between El-Mokhtalat & Al-Ahly, with the game ending 1–1 meant the two sides could not be separated, so a replay was played during the following season, the replay game ends 1–0, El-Mokhtalat won the cup for the 4th time.

The 2000–01 Egyptian Premier League is the Forty-fourth season of the Egyptian Premier League since its establishment in 1948. It was only consisting of one group of 14 teams. It started on September 15, 2000.

The 1921–22 season was Al-Mokhtalat SC's 11th season of football. The club won 1921–22 Egyptian Cup, 1921–22 Sultan Hussein Cup.

1988 Egypt Cup Final, was the final match of the 1987–88 Egypt Cup, between football clubs Zamalek and Al Ittihad Alexandria, Zamalek won the match 1–0.

Ahmed Dowidar is an Egyptian footballer. He currently plays as a defender for El Entag El Harby in the Egyptian Premier League.

The 2000–01 season is Zamalek Sports Club 90th season of football since existence in 1911, 46th consecutive season in the Egyptian Premier League, the top flight in the Egyptian football. The club qualified to the 2001 African Cup Winners' Cup as the defending champions, earned the right to participate in the 2001 CAF Super Cup against Hearts of Oak; the winner of the 2000 CAF Champions League.
