The 1928 New South Wales local government elections were held on the 1st of December 1928. [1]
This was the first set of local elections held since the Lang Government's passing of universal adult sufferage in local government elections (before, only real estate owners in a Local Government Areas could vote in that LGA's election). [2] [3]
This was the first election for some newly incorporated Local Government Areas such as Willimbong Shire. Inversely, some councils did not hold elections such as the City of Sydney, which was placed under commissioner administration. [4]
