Auto racing is a motorsport involving the racing of automobiles for competition.
Motorsport, motorsports or motor sport is a global term used to encompass the group of competitive sporting events which primarily involve the use of motorized vehicles. The terminology can also be used to describe forms of competition of two-wheeled motorised vehicles under the banner of motorcycle racing, and includes off-road racing such as motocross.
Harry Hyde was a leading crew chief in NASCAR stock car racing in the 1960s through the 1980s, winning 56 races and 88 pole positions. He was the 1970 championship crew chief for Bobby Isaac. He inspired the Harry Hogge character in the movie Days of Thunder.
The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, road courses, and dirt tracks. The series has had a longstanding relationship with NASCAR, including using former NASCAR Cup Series cars, hosting events in the same race weekend such as Daytona Speedweeks, and naming an award after NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr. However, the series was not officially affiliated with NASCAR until its buyout on April 27, 2018.
Domenick "Donny" Lia is an American stock car racing driver. He won the 2007 and 2009 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championships. He also won the Race of Champions Modified Tour races in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. He has raced on the national level in the ARCA Re/Max Series, Camping World Truck Series, and the Nationwide Series.
Shane S. Huffman is a former American professional stock car racing driver and current crew chief for Bret Holmes' No. 23 team in the ARCA Menards Series. He drove the No. 40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in the Craftsman Truck Series. In 2006 and 2007, he drove the No. 88 NAVY "Accelerate Your Life" Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS for JR Motorsports in the Busch Series.
John Mickel is a British professional stock car racing driver and commentator. He has raced in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in the United States and the Pickup Truck Racing Series in the United Kingdom. He was also a commentator for Sky Sports' coverage of NASCAR racing in 2008 and 2009.
Modified stock car racing, also known as modified racing and modified, is a type of auto racing that involves purpose-built cars simultaneously racing against each other on oval tracks. First established in the United States after World War II, this type of racing was early-on characterized by its participants' modification of passenger cars in pursuit of higher speeds, hence the name.

Coleman C. Pressley is an American former professional stock car racing driver. He is the current spotter of the No. 22 Ford Mustang driven by Joey Logano in the NASCAR Cup Series, the No. 22 Ford of Austin Cindric in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and the No. 38 Ford of Todd Gilliland in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. He is also the son of former NASCAR Cup driver Robert Pressley and the grandson of Bob Pressley. He won the UARA Stars Championship in 2010.
Alan A. Gustafson is an American NASCAR Cup Series crew chief from Ormond Beach, Florida. He began his racing career at the age of eight, by helping his friend race go-karts. He graduated from Seabreeze High School and attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University until 1996. Afterward, he worked with several teams, which competed in the Camping World Truck Series and Nationwide Series, before being employed at Hendrick Motorsports. He was the crew chief for Jeff Gordon from 2011 until Gordon's retirement in 2015. Alan is currently employed at Hendrick Motorsports as the crew chief for Chase Elliott. Gustafson won the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series championship with Chase Elliott.
Chase Pistone is an American professional stock car racing driver who has competed in the NASCAR Xfinity, Truck, and ARCA Series. He is the grandson of 2-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner "Tiger" Tom Pistone. Pistone is also a car builder of Legends Cars and Super Late Models.
Sean Rayhall is a racing driver. He competed in the LMP3 class of the European Le Mans Series, winning the championship in 2017. He has also previously raced in the GT Daytona class of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, in addition to stock cars and formula cars, where in the latter, he earned a test opportunity with Chip Ganassi Racing.
Justin Boston is an American former professional stock car racing driver. A former development driver for Joe Gibbs Racing, he most recently drove the No. 54 Toyota Tundra for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Boston was the Rookie of the Year in the ARCA Racing Series driving for Venturini Motorsports in 2013.
