This was the tenth European Championship and was won for the fifth time by England on Points Average. This tournament saw the introduction of the Other Nationalities team, which was made up of players from Scotland and the southern hemisphere who played in the NRFU. The tournament also reverted to the single game round robin format. [1]

The 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup, the second edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup, was held in Sweden and won by Norway, who became the first European nation to win the Women's World Cup. The tournament featured 12 women's national teams from six continental confederations. The 12 teams were drawn into three groups of four and each group played a round-robin tournament. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams and two best third-ranked teams advanced to the knockout stage, beginning with the quarter-finals and culminating with the final at Råsunda Stadium on 18 June 1995.

The 1995 Rugby World Cup was the third Rugby World Cup. It was hosted and won by South Africa, and was the first Rugby World Cup in which every match was held in one country.

UEFA Intertoto Cup European association football tournament for clubs

The UEFA Intertoto Cup, originally called the International Football Cup, was a summer football competition for European clubs that had not qualified for one of the major UEFA competitions, the Champions League, the UEFA Cup and until 1999, the Cup Winners' Cup. The competition was discontinued after the 2008 tournament. Teams who originally would have entered the Intertoto Cup now directly enter the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League from this point.

The 1995–96 UEFA Champions League was the 41st season of UEFA's premier European club football tournament, and the fourth since its rebranding as the UEFA Champions League. The tournament was won by Juventus, who beat defending champions Ajax on penalties in the final for their first European Cup since 1985, and their second overall. It was the only Champions League title that Juventus won in the 1990s, despite their reaching the next two finals, and one of only three Italian wins in the final, despite there being a Serie A club in every final for seven consecutive years from 1992 to 1998.

The 1995 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament involved 64 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. It began on March 16, 1995, and ended with the championship game on April 3 at the Kingdome in Seattle, Washington. A total of 63 games were played.

The 1995 Men's Ice Hockey World Championships was the 59th such event sanctioned by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Teams representing 39 countries participated in several levels of competition. The competition also served as qualifications for group placements in the 1996 competition.

The Manchester Trophy is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts. It was previously part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour and now currently part of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Women's Circuit. It is held annually at the Northern Lawn Tennis Club in the Didsbury suburb of Manchester, England, United Kingdom, since 1995. The original defunct tournament, the Manchester Open, began in 1880 and continued until the event became a lower level Challenger tournament in 1995. The Challenger level event ended in 2009, but was revived in 2015. The men's tournament was discontinued after the 2016 edition while the women's tournament was established in 2017.

FIU Panthers mens basketball

The FIU Panthers men's basketball team represents Florida International University in Miami, Florida, United States. The school's team currently competes in Conference USA. They are led by head coach Jeremy Ballard and play their home games at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
