The 1958 Bathurst 100 was a motor race staged at the Mount Panorama Circuit near Bathurst in New South Wales, Australia on 7 April 1958. [1] It was contested over 26 laps, [1] a distance of approximately 100 miles. The race was promoted by the Australian Racing Drivers Club Ltd. [2]

The race was won by Doug Whiteford [3] driving a Maserati 300S. [1]

Mount Panorama Circuit

Mount Panorama Circuit is a motor racing track located in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is situated on Mount Panorama (Wahluu) and is best known as the home of the Bathurst 1000 motor race held each October, and the Bathurst 12 Hour event held each February. The track is a 6.213 km (3.861 mi) long street circuit, which is used as a public road when no racing events are being run, with many residences which can only be accessed from the circuit.

The 2005 Super Cheap Auto 1000 was an endurance motor race for V8 Supercars. The race was held on 9 October 2005 at the Mount Panorama Circuit just outside Bathurst in New South Wales, Australia and was Round 10 of the 2005 V8 Supercar Championship Series. It was the ninth running of the Australia 1000 race, first held after the organisational split over the Bathurst 1000 that occurred in 1997. It was the 48th in a sequence of endurance races which commenced with the 1960 Armstrong 500 held at Phillip Island and 2005 was the 43rd year in which these races had been run at the Mount Panorama Circuit. It was also the first to be run under new naming rights sponsor, Australian automotive retail chain Super Cheap Auto.

The 1999 FAI 1000 was an endurance race for V8 Supercars. The event was held on 14 November 1999 at the Mount Panorama Circuit just outside Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia and was the thirteenth and final round of the 1999 Shell Championship Series. It was the first year that the traditional spring endurance race at Bathurst was part of the Australian Touring Car Championship.

The 1999 Bob Jane T-Marts Super Touring 500 was a motor race staged at the Mount Panorama Circuit, Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia on 3 October 1999. It was the 37th and last in a sequence of annual touring car endurance races to be organised by the Australian Racing Driver's Club at the Mount Panorama Circuit, previous events having included Bathurst 500 races and, from 1973, the Bathurst 1000.

It was staged over 40 laps of the six kilometre circuit for a total distance of 241 kilometres. The race, which was organised by the Light Car Club of New South Wales, attracted 38 entries, 30 of which started the race. 33,000 people paid for admission to the circuit on race day.

1958 Australian Tourist Trophy

The 1958 Australian Tourist Trophy was a 100-mile motor race for sports cars, staged at the Mount Panorama Circuit near Bathurst in New South Wales, Australia on 6 October 1958. It was the second in a sequence of annual Australian Tourist Trophy races, each of which was recognised by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport as the Australian Championship for sports cars. The race was won by David McKay driving an Aston Martin DB3S.

Bathurst Motor Festival

The Bathurst Motor Festival is an annual motor racing event held at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia during the Easter long weekend. The event was first held in 2011 as a replacement for the Festival of Sporting Cars and as a way to give a higher number of drivers the opportunity to drive on the circuit. The event plays host to a variety of racing categories, including production cars, sports cars, open-wheel racing cars and historic cars, which take part in sprint races, endurance races and regularity sessions. Around 300 vehicles are entered for the event each year, with crowds of up to and over 10,000 people attending the event. Car clubs also attend the event, displaying their cars within the confines of the circuit and performing parade laps. Since 2016, the Bathurst 6 Hour production car race has been the showpiece race of the event.

Alec Mildren (1915–1998) was active in Australian motor racing as a driver from 1938 to 1961, and subsequently as the owner of Alec Mildren Racing.

1954 Bathurst 100

The 1954 Bathurst 100 was a motor race held at the Mount Panorama Circuit, Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia on 19 April 1954. It was staged over 26 laps of the 3.7 mile circuit, a total distance of approximately 100 miles. The race, which was open to 'racing cars of all powers', was contested on a handicap basis with the first car, the HRG of Eddie Senior, starting 17 minutes and 46 seconds before the last cars, the Maybach of Stan Jones and the Ferrari of Dick Cobden.

It was staged over 26 laps of the 3.875-mile circuit, a total distance of approximately 100 miles. The race was contested on a handicap basis with the first cars starting 16 minutes and two seconds before the last car, the Maserati 250F of Reg Hunt.

It was organised by the Australian Sporting Car Club and was contested over 25 laps, a total distance of approximately 100 miles. The race was staged on a handicap basis with the first car, the MG J2/P of RW Fowler, scheduled to start 25 minutes before the last car, the Alta of Tony Gaze.
