Brothers Union is a professional football club based in Gopibagh, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It currently competes in the Bangladesh Premier League, the top flight of Bangladeshi Football.

The 2005 SAFF Gold Cup was the sixth edition of SAFF Gold Cup. It was the second time the competition was held in Pakistan. All matches were held at the People's Football Stadium in Karachi. The tournament started on 7 December and ended on 17 December.

The 2003 SAFF Gold Cup was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh between 10 January 2003 and 20 January 2003. All matches were played at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. Originally scheduled to be held between 26 January 2002 and 5 February 2002, the tournament was postponed due to the suspension of Bangladesh Football Federation by FIFA. Afghanistan were not in the draw, but were included in the tournament following an AFC recommendation to do so. It was also Bhutan's first tournament.

The South Korea women's national volleyball team represents South Korea in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. The national team's best performance at the Olympic Games was 5th place at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, California, United States. On continental level, The national team won three gold medals at the Asian Games in 1978, 2002 and 2006. And at the Asian Championship, the national team won four gold medals, two of these was at home in 1989 Seoul and 2001 Changwon and the other two are in 1993 and 2003. The national team now ranks 28th in the FIVB World Rankings.

This was the 3rd edition of the Bangabandhu Cup, after a hiatus of 16 years. It was finally given the go ahead to be played in early 2015 with six nations participating.

South Korea participated in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018. It was the 18th appearance of the country at the Asian Games, except the first edition in Delhi. As one of the best competitors at the Games, South Korea's best achievement was in the 2002 Busan, with the acquisition of 96 gold, 80 silver and 84 bronze medals. At the latest edition in 2014 Incheon, the country had collected 79 gold, 71 silver, and 84 bronze medals.

The 2024–25 Federation Cup is the 36th edition of the tournament, the main domestic annual top-tier club football competition in Bangladesh organized by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). Ten participants are participating in the tournament. It being played from 3 December 2024 to 5 May 2025. Bashundhara Kings is the defending champions having defeated Mohammedan SC by 2–1 goals in the final on 22 May 2024. The winners will qualify for 2025 Bangladesh Challenge Cup.
