The 1984 South American Badminton Championships (Spanish : Campeonato Sudamericano Adulto de Badminton 1984) was a badminton tournament sanctioned by the South American Badminton Confederation. It was the first edition of the championships. [1] [2]

Contents

The individual and mixed team events were held from 29 October to 5 November 1984. The tournament was held at Coliseo del Parque Sarmiento located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. [3] [4]

In the mixed team event, the Peruvian team became the first South American team champions, winning against Argentina and Brazil. Argentina finished second while Brazil finished in third place. [5] [6]
