The Fiji men's national football team is Fiji's national men's team and is controlled by the governing body of football in Fiji, the Fiji Football Association. The team plays most of their home games at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The 2008 OFC Nations Cup was the eighth edition of the OFC Nations Cup and the first under a new format. It took place as a series of as a home-and-away round-robin tournament on FIFA match dates in 2007 and 2008. Doubling as the qualification tournament for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the tournament was substantially different from earlier editions: 2004 champions Australia did not compete after leaving the Oceania Football Confederation for the Asian Football Confederation and for the first time since the 1996 OFC Nations Cup, no fixed venue was used. Unlike the 2004 OFC Nations Cup, which had featured six teams from the Oceania Football Confederation, the 2008 tournament had just four.
A cricket tournament at the Pacific Games, previously the South Pacific Games, was introduced in 1979 and was played intermittently at games in the 1980s and 1990s, depending on the facilities of the host nation. It was played continuously from 2003 to 2019, but was not included for the 2023 Pacific Games in Solomon Islands. Detailed records of the tournaments prior to 2003 have not been kept and little is known with certainty of the first three tournaments, beyond knowing what teams won the gold and silver medals at each Games.
The New Zealand national football team has competed in all ten editions of the OFC Nations Cup, and have won five times, the most recent coming in the 2016 tournament.

The 2017 Men's Football at the 2017 Pacific Mini Games is the 1st edition of the international football tournament organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for players who are playing in the Pacific Region.
The 2019 OFC Champions League group stage was played from 10 February to 2 March 2019. A total of 16 teams competed in the group stage to decide the eight places in the knockout stage of the 2019 OFC Champions League.
The 2019 ICC Women's Qualifier EAP was a cricket tournament that was held in Vanuatu in May 2019. The matches in the tournament were played as Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), with the top team progressing to both the 2019 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier and the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournaments.
Group B of the 2016 OFC Nations Cup took place from 28 May to 4 June 2016. The group consisted of Fiji, New Zealand, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

The first stage of the qualification pathway in the East Asia-Pacific (EAP) region consisted of two sub-regional qualifiers: Qualifier A in Vanuatu in September 2022, and Qualifier B in Japan in October 2022.
The 2022 Women's T20I Pacific Cup was a women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament that took place in Port Vila, Vanuatu, from 3 to 6 October 2022. It was the inaugural edition of the Women's T20I Pacific Cup. The participants were the women's national sides of Vanuatu, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Samoa. Papua New Guinea had entered the event after recently competing in the 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi, but the other three teams had not played an international fixture since the Pacific Games cricket tournament in July 2019.
The 2022 MSG Prime Minister's Cup was held from 17–30 September 2022. Vanuatu hosted the competition with all matches being played at the Korman Stadium in Port Vila. The tournament was a resurrection of the Melanesia Cup which has not been held since the year 2000. It was a FIFA Tier-1 tournament.
