Season 2004-05 saw Livingston compete in the Scottish Premier League. They also competed in the League Cup and the Scottish Cup.
Livingston finished third bottom of the SPL in 10th place [1] and reached the Quarter Finals of both the Scottish Cup [2] and Co-operative Insurance Cup. [3]
Livingston started the season under Allan Preston who was sacked by the club on 5 November 2004 [4] with Richard Gough being appointed as his replacement on 30 November. [5]

Celtic started the season 2005–06 looking to win the Scottish Premier League trophy and retain the Scottish Cup. They competed in the Scottish League Cup, and entered the Champions League at the qualification stage.

The 2000–01 Scottish Cup was the 116th staging of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition, also known for sponsorship reasons as the Tennent's Scottish Cup. The Cup was won by Celtic who defeated Hibernian in the final.
The 2007–08 season was Inverness Caledonian Thistle's fourth in the Scottish Premier League and 14th since the merger that created the club. They also competed in the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup.
The 2009–10 Scottish League Cup was the 64th season of the Scotland's second most prestigious football knockout competition, also known for sponsorship reasons as the Co-operative Insurance Cup. Rangers won the cup beating St Mirren 1–0 thanks to a goal from Kenny Miller.
Season 2003–04 was a disappointment for Hibernian, as the team again finished in the bottom half of the Scottish Premier League, and was knocked out at the first stage of the Scottish Cup. The main highlight of the season was the run to the 2004 Scottish League Cup Final, which Hibs reached by defeating both halves of the Old Firm. This also ended in disappointment, however, as the Final was lost 2–0 to Livingston. A month after that defeat, manager Bobby Williamson was allowed to leave the club to manage Plymouth Argyle.

The 2011–12 season was Aberdeen's 99th season in the top flight of Scottish football and their 100th season overall. Aberdeen will compete in the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup. Aberdeen were knocked out of the Scottish League Cup at the third round stage, losing on penalties to East Fife after a 3–3 draw. In the Scottish Cup, Aberdeen lost 1–2 to Hibernian in the semi-final. Aberdeen finished in 9th place in the Scottish Premier League.
