The 2006 NAWIRA Women's Sevens was the tournament's second edition and was held on 11 and 12 November 2006 in Garrison Savannah, Barbados. [1] [2] The competition was played as a round-robin with six teams, the USA Development Eagles won the tournament. [2]

Prior to 2016, it was referred to as the North America and Caribbean Women's Sevens.

The competition was played as a round-robin with seven teams competing, the United States went undefeated to win the tournament. There was also an exhibition match played between USA and a combined West Indies team.
The 2007 NAWIRA Women's Sevens was the third edition of the tournament and was held on 17 and 18 November 2007, at the Winton Rugby Centre in Nassau, Bahamas. Five teams were initially expected to compete, however, Trinidad and Tobago withdrew at the eleventh hour. The tournament was played as a round-robin with Canada claiming their first title.
