The 2014 NACRA sevens is an annual rugby sevens competition held for teams affiliated with the North America Caribbean Rugby Association. [1] The competition was held between December 3 and 4 at the Campo Marte in Mexico City, Mexico. A total of twelve teams (including two from host nation Mexico) competed in the men's tournament.
In the men's gold medal match, Guyana managed to come back from being down 7–21 at half time to defeat Mexico. [2] The top two teams in the men's competition, along with the winner of the women's competition qualified to compete at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada. [3]

Brazil competed in 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada from July 10 to 26, 2015. The Brazilian Olympic Committee selected a team of 590 athletes, 314 men and 276 women. This is the 17th appearance of the country in the Pan American Games. The goal of the Brazilian Olympic Committee is to finish among top 3 countries on total medals, as part of preparations for the 2016 Summer Olympics, in Rio de Janeiro, and to surpass the number of medals of Guadalajara (141). Women’s field hockey, baseball, racquetball and speed skating competitions will be the only sports without Brazilian representation at these games.

Rugby sevens at the 2015 Pan American Games was held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from July 11 to 12. The rugby sevens competition was held at BMO Field, although due to naming rights, the venue was known as Exhibition Stadium for the duration of the games. This was the second time that the men's competition was held, following rugby sevens's debut at the 2011 Games, with women's rugby sevens making its debut. A total of eight men's and six women's teams competed in each respective tournament.
Modern pentathlon competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto was held on July 18 and 19 at the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Aquatics Centre and Field House, where a temporary show jumping ring, pistol shooting range and cross-country course was constructed to host the final round of fencing, jumping and combined events. A total of two events was contested.
Badminton competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 11 to 16 at the Markham Pan Am Centre in Markham. Due to naming rights the arena was known as the latter for the duration of the games. A total of five badminton events will be held: two each for men and women, along with a mixed doubles event.

The 2014 NACRA Women's Sevens was the tenth tournament of the North America and Caribbean Women's Sevens Championship, the official rugby sevens continental championships organized by NACRA. Both the women's and men's competitions were held at the Campo Marte in Mexico City, Mexico on 3–4 December 2014.
Rugby sevens at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru was held from July 26th to 28th. The venue for the competition is the rugby sevens stadium located at the Villa María del Triunfo cluster.
