The 2011 FIVB Women's Junior Volleyball World Championship was held in Lima and Trujillo, Peru from July 22 to 31, 2011.

The 2021 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship was the 17th edition of the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship, contested by the women's national teams under the age of 18 of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Durango City, Mexico. Mexico were chosen as the hosts for this event for the second time after previously hosting the 2007 tournament.

The 2001 FIVB Girls Youth Volleyball World Championship was held in Pula and Rijeka, Croatia from 22 to 30 September 2001.

Sun Jinfang is a Chinese former volleyball player who played the setter position. She captained China to the gold medal at both the 1981 FIVB Women's World Cup and the 1982 FIVB Women's World Championship. She also won a silver medal at the 1978 Asian Games and a gold medal at the 1982 Asian Games.
