The 2007 Helvetia Cup or 2007 European B Team Championships in badminton was held from January 17 to January 21 in Reykjavík, Iceland. [1]

The Helvetia Cup or European B Team Championships was a European mixed team championship in badminton. The first Helvetia Cup tournament took place in Zurich, Switzerland in 1962. The tournament took place every two years from 1971 until 2007, after which it was dissolved.

Badminton racquet sport

Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" and "doubles". Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court.

The 2017 European Mixed Team Badminton Championships was held in Lubin, Poland, between 15–19 February 2017 and organised by Badminton Europe and Polish Badminton Federation. Denmark, the defending champion, retained their title after defeating Russia by 3-0 in the final.

Mie Schjøtt-Kristensen is a Danish badminton player. She started to playing badminton at aged six in Brylle club Funen. She moved to train in Copenhagen and join the national team in 2002. She was part of the Danish team that won the gold medals at the 2008, 2009 European Mixed Team Championships, and 2008 Women's Team Championships. She also won the bronze medal at the 2010 European Championships. In June 2011, she decided to quit from the national team.
