Twenty-two cyclists from 14 countries participated in the contest. After the qualification, the two fastest riders advance to the final and the 3rd- and 4th-best results would race for the bronze medal. [1]

He represented Great Britain at the 2016 Rio Paralympics as a sighted pilot for visually impaired cyclist Stephen Bate, whom he was paired with in January 2014. The pair won gold in the men's individual pursuit B and men's road time trial B, and bronze in the men's road race B.
