The 2008 European Drift Championship season is the second season of the European Drift Championship. The championship was won by Ben Broke-Smith.

Donington Park Motorsport circuit in England

Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038. It has a capacity of 120,000, and is also the venue of the Download Festival.

Silverstone Circuit British motor racing circuit

Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the first race in the newly created World Championship of Drivers. The race rotated between Silverstone, Aintree and Brands Hatch from 1955 to 1986, but settled permanently at the Silverstone track in 1987. The circuit also hosts the British round of the MotoGP series.

The D1 Grand Prix, abbreviated as D1GP and subtitled Professional Drift, is a production car drifting series from Japan. After several years of hosting amateur drifting contests, Daijiro Inada, founder of Option magazine and Tokyo Auto Salon, and drifting legend, Keiichi Tsuchiya hosted a professional level drifting contest in 1999 and 2000 to feed on the ever increasing skills of drifting drivers who were dominating drifting contests in various parts of Japan. In October 2000, they reformed the contest as a five-round series. In the following year for the following round, the introduction of the two car tsuiou battle, run in a single-elimination tournament format, a common tradition for tōge races which became popular with car enthusiasts.

Kazuki Nakajima Japanese racing driver

Kazuki Nakajima is a retired Japanese professional racing driver who drove in Formula One for the Williams-Toyota team from 2007 to 2009. Racing for Toyota Gazoo Racing since 2016, he won the 2018, 2019 and 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans, and is 2018-19 World Endurance champion along with team-mates Fernando Alonso and Sébastien Buemi. He is the second FIA world champion from Japan after Toshi Arai.

Josh Brookes Australian motorcycle racer

Joshua Brookes is a professional motorcycle road racer with experience of Superbike and Supersport racing, both domestically and internationally. In 2020, he raced in the British Superbike Championship aboard a Ducati Panigale where he won his second British title, followed by a sixth finish in the 2021 championship. For 2022, Brookes remains with the same team, renamed as MCE Ducati.

Nobushige Kumakubo Japanese racing driver

Nobushige Kumakubo is a drifting driver from Japan who competes in the D1 Grand Prix series and racetrack and land owner. Nicknamed Kuma, he is commonly referred to as one of the pioneers of drifting.

The European Drift Championship (EDC) was an annual drifting series held in the United Kingdom from 2007–2012. The series was previously known as D1 Great Britain (D1GB) in 2006 and D1UK from 2002–2005, but event organizers disassociated from the D1 Grand Prix in 2007. D1UK was also known as the Autoglym Drift Championship due to sponsorship by Autoglym.

The event took place at the Port of Long Beach in Long Beach, California on November 15–16, 2008.

Harry Tincknell British racing driver

Harry Tincknell is a British professional racing driver currently racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for Mazda Team Joest. He won the LMP2 class on his Le Mans 24 Hour race debut in 2014 and again in LMGTE Pro in 2020, the first driver in the race's history to win in both LMP2 and LMGTE Pro. Other notable victories include the 2016 European Le Mans Series title and the overall win at the 2020 12 Hours of Sebring.

2010 Superleague Formula season

The 2010 Superleague Formula season was the third Superleague Formula championship. The series was rebranded "Superleague Formula by Sonangol", due to a two-year deal that began in the previous season. The first race of the season was on 4 April at Silverstone and it finished on 24 October at Navarra after a series record of 12 race weekends in all.

The 2009 European Drift Championship season is the third season of the European Drift Championship. The championship was won by Mark Luney after he narrow snatched the title from the then championship leader, Phil Morrison.

The 2010 FIA GT3 European Championship season was the fifth season of the FIA GT3 European Championship. The season commenced on 1 May at Silverstone and ended on 10 October at Circuit Zolder. The season featured six double-header rounds, with each race lasting for a duration of 60 minutes. Most of the events were support races to the newly formed FIA GT1 World Championship.

2013 European Le Mans Series

The 2013 European Le Mans Series season was the tenth season of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's European Le Mans Series endurance auto racing series. It is the first season of the European Le Mans Series under the control of the ACO's Le Mans Endurance Management, replacing former organisers Peter Auto. Championships are open to four categories, two of which are for Le Mans Prototypes while the other two are grand tourers. The season contested over five races starting at the Silverstone Circuit, United Kingdom on 13 April and ended at Circuit Paul Ricard, France on 28 September.

Paul Smith (drift driver)

Paul "Smokey" Smith is a British professional drift driver from Spalding, Lincolnshire. He drives a 1JZ powered Nissan Silvia S15 for Team Japspeed. He won the British Drift Championship in 2012 after several years of competition.

The 2014 Courier Connections Renault UK Clio Cup was a multi-event, one make motor racing championship held across England and one event in Scotland. The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers competing in the new Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo EDC that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. It formed part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centerpiece after signing a three year extension to be on the package until the end of 2016. It was the 19th Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom season, commencing on 30 March at Brands Hatch – on the circuit's Indy configuration – and concluded on 12 October at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after sixteen races held at eight meetings, all in support of the 2014 British Touring Car Championship season.
