The Missouri Valley Conference is the third-oldest collegiate athletic conference in the United States. The conference's members are primarily located in the midwest.

The Creighton Bluejays men's soccer team represents Creighton University in NCAA men's Division I soccer competitions. They compete in the Big East Conference and have risen to prominence in collegiate men's soccer in the last few decades having gone to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament in 22 of the previous 23 seasons, going back to 1992, with five appearances in the College Cup semifinals and one appearance in the National Championship Match. In conference play, the Bluejays have won 13 conference regular season championships and 13 conference tournament championships; the most recent being the 2014 Big East Conference Regular Season Championship. Missouri State University hosted the tournament at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium on the Missouri State campus in Springfield, Missouri on November 8, 9, 11 &13, 2016.

The Northern Illinois Huskies men's soccer team is the college soccer team that represents Northern Illinois University (NIU) in DeKalb, Illinois, United States. The school's team competed in NIU's full-time home of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) through the 2022 season, after which the conference stopped sponsoring men's soccer. NIU moved that sport to the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) effective with the 2023 season, joining fellow MAC members Bowling Green and Western Michigan in this move. NIU men's soccer started playing in 1962 and has appeared in the NCAA Tournament four times. The Huskies are coached by Ryan Swan.

The 2019 Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer season was the 29th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The season began in late August 2019 and concluded in mid-November 2019.

The 2021 Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer tournament was the postseason men's soccer tournament for the Missouri Valley Conference held from November 9 through November 14, 2021. The First Round was held at campus sites. The semifinals and finals took place at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium in Springfield, Missouri. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Missouri State Bears, who successfully defended their title by defeating Evansville 3–0 in the final. The conference tournament title was the third for the Missouri State men's soccer program, and second for head coach Michael Seabolt. As tournament champions, Missouri State earned the Missouri Valley's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.
