The CTBC Brothers or simply Brothers are a professional baseball team in Taiwan. The team was originally established as an amateur team in 1984 by the Brother Hotel located in Taipei City, and later joined the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) in 1989. Brother Hotel's chairman Hung Teng-sheng also acted as CPBL's secretary-general from 1987 to 1991. The Brothers are currently owned by CTBC Holding.

The Lions are based in Tainan City, Taiwan and homefielded primarily at Tainan Municipal Baseball Stadium.

The Mercuries Tigers were a professional baseball team belonging to Taiwan's Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) between 1990 and 1999.

Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium is a stadium in Beitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. The stadium officially opened on November 9, 2006, replacing the antiquated Taichung Baseball Field. Located on the corner of Chongde Road (崇德路) and Huanzhong Road (環中路), it has considerably more parking available than the old stadium.

The Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) playoffs included the three top teams from the regular season and crowned a champion with the Taiwan Series through the month of October, 2006. The winner represented Taiwan in the Konami Cup in Japan with the champions from Japan, South Korea, and an all-star team from China to determine an Asian champion in November.

The Taipei Municipal Baseball Stadium was a baseball park located in the Songshan District of Taipei, Taiwan. It was opened in 1959, and hosted numerous major baseball games over the years, including the CPBL's first game in 1990 between Uni-President Lions and Brother Elephants. During its professional years, the stadium was frequently taken as the home stadium of Brother Elephants, Wei Chuan Dragons, and Mercuries Tigers. It was closed and demolished in 2000. Its site is currently occupied by the Taipei Arena. Its role in professional baseball was filled by Tianmu Baseball Stadium across town and Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium in nearby Taipei County.

Liu Fu-hao born 14 November 1978, is a Taiwanese baseball player who currently plays for Uni-President Lions of Chinese Professional Baseball League. Originally a third baseman, he currently plays as center fielder for the Lions, although he is capable of playing other outfield positions as well as first base.

The 2007 Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) season began on March 17 in Kaohsiung County when the defending champion La New Bears played host to the Uni-President Lions. The season concluded in late October with the Uni-President Lions defeating the La New Bears in Game 7 of the Taiwan Series.

Provincial Highway 1 is a 461.081 km (286.502 mi)-long Taiwanese provincial highway that starts in the north of the country near Taipei Main Station and ends in the south at Fangshan, Pingtung County. It intersects with Provincial Highway 9 and Provincial Highway 26. Before the freeway system was built in Taiwan, this was the primary north-south highway for the island. The highway connects most of the major cities in Taiwan. In most parts of Taiwan, the road is known as The North-South Highway (縱貫公路).

The 2008 Asia Series was contested on November 13–16 by the champions of Nippon Professional Baseball's Japan Series, the Korea Baseball Organization's Korean Series, Chinese Professional Baseball League's Taiwan Series, and the championship of the China Baseball League of the People's Republic of China. In 2008, it was the first time that the champion of the China Baseball League participates in instead of the all-star team China Stars. The winning team will receive ¥50 million yen, the second place team will receive ¥30 million yen, and the other teams will receive ¥10 million yen each. All games were held in Tokyo Dome, Tokyo, Japan. The Saitama Seibu Lions defeated the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions in the title game to win the championship for Japan. Outfielder Tomoaki Satoh was named the MVP of the series.

The 2008 Taiwan Series was played by the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions, team that placed first in the all-season standing, and the Brother Elephants, wild card winner who advanced to Taiwan Series by defeating La New Bears in the Playoff Series. The Lions defeated the Elephants four games to three and won the title and went on to represent Taiwan in the 2008 Asia Series.

The 2011 Taiwan Series was played by Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions and Lamigo Monkeys, winners of the first and second half-seasons. The Lions won the title of 2011 Taiwan Series four games to one and will represent Taiwan in the 2011 Asia Series.

The 2011 Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) season began on March 19 in Kaohsiung County when the defending champion Lamigo Monkeys played host to the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions. The season concluded in late October with the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions defeating the Lamigo Monkeys in Game 7 of the Taiwan Series.

The 2020 Chinese Professional Baseball League season was the 31st season of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). The season was scheduled to begin on 14 March, earlier than previous seasons in order to free up time for the CPBL players to participate in the final qualifying tournament of the 2020 Summer Olympics. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, opening day was delayed. On 1 April, the CPBL announced that the season would begin on 11 April with the rematch of last season's Taiwan Series teams: the champions Rakuten Monkeys hosting the CTBC Brothers, but behind closed doors with no fans attending.

The 2021 Chinese Professional Baseball League season was the 32nd season of the Chinese Professional Baseball League, with an official slogan of "United for Baseball".

The Asia-Pacific International Baseball Training Centers is a baseball training complex in Tainan, Taiwan. The complex consists of two standard stadiums, two youth stadiums, two infield training fields, six outdoor pitching/batting training lanes and an indoor training facility.
