2009–10 Moldovan National Division season is the 16th Moldovan National Division season in the history of FC Nistru.

The Moldovan National Division 2009–10 was the 19th season of top-tier football in Moldova. The season began on 5 July 2008, with the final round of matches played on 16 May 2009. Sheriff Tiraspol retained their title as defending champions.

The Moldovan National Division is the top association football division of the Moldovan football league system. The competition was established in 1992, when the country became independent from the Soviet Union.

As the governing body of association football, FIFA is responsible for maintaining and implementing the rules that determine whether an association football player is eligible to represent a particular country in officially recognised international competitions and friendly matches. In the 20th century, FIFA allowed a player to represent any national team, as long as the player held citizenship of that country. In 2004, in reaction to the growing trend towards naturalisation of foreign players in some countries, FIFA implemented a significant new ruling that requires a player to demonstrate a "clear connection" to any country they wish to represent. FIFA has used its authority to overturn results of competitive international matches that feature ineligible players.

Fotbal Club Sheriff, commonly known as Sheriff Tiraspol or simply Sheriff, is a Moldovan football club based in Tiraspol.

The 2009-10 season was FC Dacia Chisinau's 8th Moldovan National Division season, in which they finished the season in 5th place, qualifying for UEFA Europa League. The 2015 season will be the 118th season of competitive football in Sweden. The competitive will start with the group stage of Svenska Cupen on 21 February. League competition will start in early April with Allsvenskan on 5 April, Superettan on 5 April and Division 1 on 12 April. Svenska Cupen will conclude with the final on 17 May. Allsvenskan will conclude on 31 October, Superettan and Division 1 on 1 November and lower men's leagues on the weekend before. Qualification play-offs will be held after the end of league play with the Allsvenskan and Superettan play-offs being held on 4/5 and 7/8 November. Svenska Supercupen will be held on 8 November and will be contested by the winner of Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen. Sweden will participate in qualifying for the UEFA Euro 2016.

The winners of the league this season will earn a spot in the first qualifying round of the 2020–21 UEFA Champions League, and the second and third placed clubs will earn a place in the first qualifying round of the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League.
