The 2010-11 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto was the 48th edition of the Spanish premier women's basketball championship. It took place from 10 October 2010 to 28 April 2011. Fourteen teams took part in the championship, with UNB Obenasa Lacturale and Extrugasa replacing relegated teams CB Estudiantes and Real Canoe. [1]

Perfumerías Avenida won its second title, ending Ros Casares Valencia' four-year winning streak. [2] The Salmantine team also won the Euroleague. Mann Filter Zaragoza and Copa de la Reina champion Rivas Ecópolis also qualified for the play-offs, while Unión Navarra and CB Olesa were relegated. However, the Navarre team was spared from relegation in July as Extrugasa renounced its spot due to financial stress. [3]

The Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, also known as Liga Femenina Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level of league competition for women's basketball in Spain. It is the women's equivalent of the men's Liga ACB and is run by the Spanish Basketball Federation. The league was founded in 1964 and is played under FIBA rules.

Uni Girona Club de Basquet, also known as Spar Girona for sponsorship reasons, is a Spanish women's basketball club from Girona.

The 2011–12 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto was the 49th edition of the Spanish premier women's basketball championship. It took place from 15 October 2011 to April 2011. Fourteen teams took part in the championship, with Caja Rural Tintos de Toro and Jopisa Ciudad de Burgos replacing relegated teams CB Olesa and Extrugasa, this one relegated due to financial problems.

Roberto Íñiguez de Heredia Santamaria, is a former Spanish basketball player and the current manager of Perfumerías Avenida. Iñiguez spent most of his career with Valencia BC.

The 1998–99 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto was the 36th edition of Spain's premier championship for women's basketball clubs. It marked the competition's expansion from 12 to 14 teams. Celta de Vigo defeated CB Halcón Avenida in the play-offs' final to win its fourth title 17 years later. CD Ensino and CB Sandra Islas Canarias were the regular stage's champion and runner-up respectively, also qualifying for the championship play-offs. On the other hand, CB Navarra and Canal Isabel II CD were relegated as the two bottom teams.

The 2008–09 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto was the 46th edition of the Spanish premier championship for women's basketball teams. Ros Casares Valencia defeated Perfumerías Avenida in the final to win its third title in a row, an overall sixth. Rivas Ecópolis also qualified for the FIBA Euroleague along with Ros Casares and Avenida, while Feve San José, Espanyol Olesa and EBE Puig d'en Valls qualified for the FIBA Eurocup. On the other hand, Mann Filter Zaragoza and Extrugasa Cortegada were relegated as the two bottom teams. However, Feve San José was disbanded following the end of the season and Espanyol Olesa renounced to its Eurocup place for financial reasons, so Mann Filter Zaragoza was spared from relegation and invited to the Eurocup along with CB Islas Canarias.

The top six teams played the championship playoffs during April. Eleven teams took part in the regular season championship.

CB Conquero Basketball team in Huelva

'Club Baloncesto Conquero', is a Spanish women's basketball club based in Huelva, that currently plays in the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto.

The 2009–10 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto was the 47th edition of the Spanish premier championship for women's basketball teams. Defending champion Ros Casares again defeated CB Avenida in the final to win its fourth title in a row, an overall seventh. CB Rivas and CDB Zaragoza also qualified for the championship play-offs. Ros Casares, Avenida and Rivas qualified for the 2010–11 Euroleague, while Zaragoza and CB Islas Canarias qualified for the 2010–11 Eurocup. Playoffs began on 5 April with the semifinals, concluding in late April with Finals. Top four teams will play the championship playoffs during April. Twelve teams took part in the regular season.

The 2014–15 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto is the 52nd edition of the Spanish premier women's basketball championship. Regular season started on 15 October 2014 and finished on 28 March. Championship playoff will begin on 4 April with Semifinal matches.

The 2015–16 Liga Femenina de Baloncesto was the 53rd edition of the Spanish premier women's basketball championship. Regular season started on 26 September 2015 and will finish on 26 March 2016. The playoffs started on 30 March and finished no later than 23 April.

María Cecilia Liñeira is an Argentine-Czech professional basketball player, who played the 2018–2019 season for Megacalzado Ardoi in Liga Femenina 2.

Maite Cazorla is a Spanish professional basketball player for the Perfumerias Avenida of Liga Endesa and the Spanish women's national basketball team. She was drafted with the twenty third overall pick in the 2019 WNBA draft.
