The 2010 GFF National Super League was the third season of the National Super League under its current format, and the twentieth reported season of top tier Guyanese football. The champions for the second consecutive year were Alpha United who did not lose a single match during the campaign. As champions, Alpha United, along with league runners-up, Milerock earned a berth into the 2011 CFU Club Championship.

The Super League Greece 1, or Super League 1 Stoiximan for sponsorship reasons, is the highest professional association football league in Greece. The league was formed on 16 July 2006 and replaced Alpha Ethniki at the top of the Greek football league system. It consists of 14 teams and runs from August to May, with teams playing 26 games.

The 2005–06 Alpha Ethniki was the 70th season of the highest football league of Greece and the last season under the name Alpha Ethniki, before then was renamed to Super League Greece. He is considered one of the best players in the history of Guyana, having amassed 61 caps for the national team.

The Elite League, often referred to as GFF Elite League is the top level of the football system in Guyana. Contested by 10 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation. Top level before GFF Elite League was GFF National Super League.

The 2015–16 GFF Elite League was the 15th season of the highest competitive football league in Guyana, and the 1st season of the Elite League. Eight FIFA licensed clubs participated in the inaugural Elite League season. The season was split into two parts. Each half consisted of 14 rounds, with each team playing the other 7 teams twice each. In each round, the top 4 teams advanced to the playoffs. The winners of each half then faced off to determine the overall champion. The two half-season champions also advanced to the 2017 CFU Club Championship.

The 2017 Malaysia Super League was the 14th season of the Malaysia Super League, the top-tier professional football league in Malaysia.

The 2016–17 GFF Elite League is the 16th season of the highest competitive football league in Guyana, and the 2nd season of the Elite League. Eight FIFA licensed clubs participated in the inaugural Elite League season.

Dwain Donald Jacobs is a Guyanese former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. As of 2021, he is the president of Guyanese club Dynamics FC, which he founded in January 2019.
