According to FFK, the prize fund of a tournament will make 20,000 $. The teams who took first, second, and third place will receive 10,000, 6,000, and 4,000 $, respectively.
Nur-Sultan, formerly known as Akmolinsk, Tselinograd, and Astana, is the capital city of Kazakhstan. The city acquired its present name on March 23, 2019, following a unanimous vote in Kazakhstan's parliament. It was named after former Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Astana Football Club is a professional football club based in Nur-Sultan. They play in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Kazakh football. The club's home ground is the 30,254-seat Astana Arena stadium. The club colours, reflected in their badge and kit, are sky blue and yellow. Founded as Lokomotiv Astana in 2009, the club changed its name to Astana in 2011. They are members of the Astana Presidential Club, an association of the main sports teams in Astana supported by the Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna.
Barys Hockey Club, commonly referred to as Barys Nur-Sultan or simply Barys, is a professional ice hockey team based in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. It is one of the founding members of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). They play in the league's Chernyshev Division of the Eastern Conference. Their home arena is the Barys Arena, where they have played since the 2015–16 KHL season. Prior to 2015, the team played home games at the Kazakhstan Sports Palace for 14 seasons, beginning in 2001. The head coach is Yuri Mikhailis and the president is Boris Ivanishchev.

The UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group A was one of the nine groups to decide which teams would qualify for the UEFA Euro 2016 finals tournament. Group A consisted of six teams: Netherlands, Czech Republic, Turkey, Latvia, Iceland, and Kazakhstan, where they played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format.

The UEFA Futsal Euro 2022 qualifying competition will be a men's futsal competition that determines the 15 teams joining the automatically qualified hosts Netherlands in the UEFA Futsal Euro 2022 final tournament, the first tournament to be held on a four-year basis and featuring 16 teams.
