Charles Hamelin is a Canadian short track speed skater. Hamelin is a 6-time Olympic medallist having won 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze during the 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. He is also a 2-time world champion over the 500 m distance, having won those championships in 2007 and 2009, a 3-time world champion over the 1500 metre distance, having won those championships in 2014, 2018 and 2021, and a 2-time world champion over the 1000 metre distance in 2016 and 2018, and also led Canada to 5 world relay titles. Hamelin is the 2014 overall World Cup season winner, and the 2018 overall World Champion, giving him all the achievements available in the sport.

Lee Eun-Byul is a South Korean short track speed skater. She won the silver medal at the 2008 World Junior Championships in Bolzano. She also finished in second place in the 1500m speed skating at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships

The World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships are a junior short track speed skating event and held once a year in a different country. Skaters perform individual races in the 500 meters, 1000 meters, 1500 meters, 1500 meters super final and a team effort in the 3000 meters relay. Until 2018 there was an overall winner for both the girl's and the boy's categories, but this was discontinued in 2019.

J. R. Celski Short-track speed skater

John Robert "J. R." Celski is a retired American short track speed skater, three-time Olympian, and three-time medalist in the Winter Olympics. Celski has held a total of five combined Short Track World and Junior World Records throughout his career including the 500m and 5000m relay World Records as well as the 500m, 1000m and 3000m relay Junior World Records. Celski was a part of the team that broke and currently holds the World Record in the 5000m relay established in Shanghai, China on November 12, 2017.

Marianne St-Gelais Canadian short-track speed skater

Marianne St-Gelais is a Canadian former short track speed skater. She won two silver medals in the 500 m and 3,000 m relay at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, and a third silver in the 3,000 m relay at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Antoine Gélinas-Beaulieu is a Canadian long track speed skater and short track speed skater. Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Gélinas-Beaulieu currently resides in Montreal. He is currently a member of the national long track team for Canada.

2012 World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships

The 2012 World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships took place between 24 and 26 February in Melbourne, Australia at the Medibank Icehouse. This is the first time which the Championship was held during the summer and in the Southern Hemisphere. The World Championships are organised by the ISU which also run world cups and championships in speed skating and figure skating.

The 2013 World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships took place from 22 to 24 February 2013 in Warsaw, Poland at the Torwar Hall. The World Championships are organised by the ISU which also run world cups and championships in speed skating and figure skating.

The 2016 World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships took place from 29 to 31 January 2016 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
