The 9th Annual ASTRA Awards is an upcoming event to be held on Thursday, 21 July 2011 at the Sydney Theatre. [1] The ASTRA Pioneer Award and the ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards were presented prior to the ceremony at the annual ASTRA Conference, also held in Sydney, on 29 March 2011.

ASTRA Pioneer Award

The second annual ASTRA Pioneer Award was presented to David Malone, CEO of the Premier Media Group. [2]

Chief executive officer highest-ranking corporate officer or administrator

The chief executive officer (CEO), or just chief executive (CE), is the most senior corporate, executive, or administrative officer in charge of managing an organization – especially an independent legal entity such as a company or nonprofit institution. CEOs lead a range of organizations, including public and private corporations, non-profit organizations and even some government organizations. The CEO of a corporation or company typically reports to the board of directors and is charged with maximizing the value of the entity, which may include maximizing the share price, market share, revenues, or another element. The Chaser election specials are a number of Australian political satire based comedy programs produced by The Chaser. The shows, which have run under various titles, provide commentary on Australian federal election and has been produced since 2001 for ABC TV. TV Tonight is an Australian-based website which features reviews, news and programming information related to television in Australia as well as OzTAM ratings information. As of July 2018, the site places 1,388 in the Australian Alexa ranking system and 78,077 worldwide.

The ASTRA Award for Channel of the Year is an award presented at the ASTRA Awards. It has been presented at every ASTRA Awards except the first.

The ASTRA Award for Favourite Program is an award presented at the ASTRA Awards since 2004.

The ASTRA Award for Favourite Personality is an award presented at the ASTRA Awards since 2004. Originally presented in gender-specific categories, it was merged into one award in 2010.

The Renovators is an Australian competitive reality renovation game show that premiered on Network Ten on 24 July 2011. The basic premise consists of 26 contestants who initially compete to become the head renovator of six run-down houses in the suburbs of Sydney, with challenges and eliminations taking place whilst the renovations are in progress. The last remaining contestant responsible for the property that has made the most profit when sold at auction wins the series.

Please Marry My Boy is an Australian reality television series which premiered on the Seven Network on 30 January 2012. The show is hosted by Ada Nicodemou and produced by Granada Media Australia. The first series concluded on 2 April 2013.

<i>Utopia</i> (Australian TV series) Australian TV series

Utopia, internationally titled Dreamland, is a Logie Award-winning Australian television comedy series by Working Dog Productions that premiered on the ABC on 13 August 2014. The series follows the working lives of a team in the fictional Nation Building Authority, a newly created government organisation. The Authority is responsible for overseeing major infrastructure projects, from announcement to unveiling. The series explores the collision between bureaucracy and grand ambitions. The second season aired in 2015, beginning with the first episode on 19 August 2015. The third season aired in 2017, beginning with the first episode on 19 July 2017.

River Cottage Australia is an Australian adaptation of the English franchise of the same name. The series sees former chef Paul West showcase local produce and farming while attempting to live in a self-sufficient manner. The series premiered on 27 June 2013 on The LifeStyle Channel and ran for two seasons before moving to The LifeStyle Channel's sister network LifeStyle Food in 2015 where it aired a further two seasons.
