<i>The Chaser election specials</i> Australian TV series or program

The Chaser election specials are a number of Australian political satire based comedy programs produced by The Chaser. The shows, which have run under various titles, provide commentary on Australian federal election and has been produced since 2001 for ABC TV. The first show, The Election Chaser in 2001 was the first ever television production of the Chaser team. In 2004 and 2007 they produced The Chaser Decides which won the Logie Award for "Most Outstanding Comedy Program" for the 2004 series. In 2010, the Chaser team produced a 5-episode series about the 2010 election, called Yes We Canberra!. A new series was produced for the 2013 election, called The Hamster Decides.The Chaser's Election Desk aired in the six weeks prior to the 2016 federal election.

<i>Tangle</i> (TV series) Australian TV series or program

Tangle is an Australian drama series for the Showcase subscription television channel. It focuses on the tangled lives of two generations of two families. Tangle was filmed in Melbourne and first screened on 1 October 2009. It is written by Fiona Seres, Tony McNamara and Judi McCrossin, and directed by Jessica Hobbs, Matthew Saville and Stuart McDonald. There were three seasons.

It also marks the introduction of digital multichannels for the three commercial television networks, which were each able to launch an alternate standard-definition digital channel, separate from their primary channels, from 1 January. Network Ten launched their channel, One, on 26 March, whilst the Nine Network launched kids and movies channel GO! on 9 August, and the Seven Network launched catch-up channel 7Two on 1 November.

The Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Children's Program is an award presented annually at the Australian TV Week Logie Awards. It was first awarded at the 42nd Annual TV Week Logie Awards in 2000, and is given to honour an outstanding Australian children's television program. The winner and nominees of this award are chosen by television industry juries. Hi-5, Round the Twist, My Place, Dance Academy, Nowhere Boys and Bluey hold the record for the most wins, with two each.

The ASTRA Award for Channel of the Year is an award presented at the ASTRA Awards. It has been presented at every ASTRA Awards except the first.

The ASTRA Award for Favourite Personality is an award presented at the ASTRA Awards since 2004. Originally presented in gender-specific categories, it was merged into one award in 2010.

The 9th Annual ASTRA Awards was an event held on Thursday, 21 July 2011 at the Sydney Theatre. The ASTRA Pioneer Award and the ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards were presented prior to the ceremony at the annual ASTRA Conference, also held in Sydney, on 29 March 2011.
