Anthony Lawrence Longhurst is an Australian racing driver and former Australian Champion water skier. He is most noted for his career in the Australian Touring Car Championship and V8 Supercar series. Longhurst is a two-time winner of the Bathurst 1000, winning the event in 1988 with Tomas Mezera and in 2001 with Mark Skaife, and is one of only five drivers to win Bathurst in both a Ford and a Holden.
The Bathurst 12 Hour, currently known as the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour for sponsorship reasons, is an annual endurance race for GT and production cars held at the Mount Panorama Circuit, in Bathurst, Australia. The race was first held in 1991 for Series Production cars and moved to Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway in 1995 before being discontinued. The race was revived in 2007, again for production cars, before adding a new class for GT3 and other GT cars in 2011. This has led to unprecedented domestic and international exposure for the event. In all, eighteen races have taken place; seventeen at Mount Panorama and one at Eastern Creek Raceway.
The 2010 Dial Before You Dig Australian Six Hour was an endurance motor race for production cars. It was staged on 18 July 2010 at the Eastern Creek International Raceway in New South Wales, Australia and was Round 4 of both the 2010 Australian Manufacturers' Championship and the 2010 Australian Production Car Championship. The race was won by Stuart Kostera and Warren Luff at the wheel of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, leading a 1–2–3–4 for the manufacturer. Kostera and Luff won by two laps ahead of Ian Tulloch and Steve Jones, with Peter Conroy and Mark Brame finishing a further lap down in third place.
The 2010 Eastern Creek 8 Hour Production Car Race was an endurance motor race for production cars. It was staged on 12 December 2010 at the Eastern Creek International Raceway in New South Wales, Australia. Jim Hunter, Barton Mawer and Gavin Bullas won the race at the wheel of a Subaru Impreza WRX STI; completing 249 laps, one more than the second place team of Barry Morcom, Nathan Morcom and Garry Holt, driving a BMW 335i. Third place went to father and son pairing Tony and Klark Quinn, who finished ten laps down from the winners, in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX.
The 2011 Phillip Island Six Hour was an endurance motor race for production cars. It was held on 29 May 2011 at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia. It was Round 2 of the 2011 Australian Manufacturers' Championship, Round 2 of the 2011 Australian Production Car Championship and Round 1 of the 2011 Australian Production Car Endurance Championship. The race was won by Stuart Kostera and Ian Tulloch, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. The Mazda 3 MPS of Jake Camilleri and Scott Nicholas finished a lap down in second with the Lancer Evolution 9 of Jim Pollicina, Dean Kelland and Steve Cramp a further lap down in third.
The 2011 Australian Manufacturers' Championship was a CAMS sanctioned national motor racing championship for car manufacturers. It was the 26th manufacturers title to be awarded by CAMS and the 17th to be contested under the Australian Manufacturers' Championship name. The championship, which was open to modified production touring cars, also incorporated three drivers titles, the 2011 Australian Production Car Championship, the 2011 Australian Production Car Endurance Championship and the 2011 Australian Endurance Championship.
Chaz Mostert is an Australian professional racing driver competing in the Repco Supercars Championship. He currently drives the No. 25 Holden ZB Commodore for Walkinshaw Andretti United. Mostert was the winner of the 2021 Bathurst 1000 with Lee Holdsworth and has also previously won the 2014 Bathurst 1000 with Paul Morris and the 2010 Australian Formula Ford Championship.
The 2012 Phillip Island 6 Hour was an endurance race for modified production touring cars, staged at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Victoria, Australia on 29 April 2012. The race was Round 2 of the 2012 Australian Manufacturers' Championship, Round 2 of the 2012 Australian Production Car Championship, Round 1 of the 2012 Australian Endurance Championship and Round 1 of the 2012 Australian Production Car Endurance Championship. It was the second annual Phillip Island 6 Hour race to be held at the Victorian circuit.
The 2013 Great Southern 4 Hour was an endurance motor race held on 26 May 2013 at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Victoria, Australia. It was Round 1 of the 2013 Australian Manufacturers' Championship and as such it was open to "modified production touring cars" complying with the technical regulations for that championship. The race was won by Bob Pearson and Glenn Seton, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10.

The Bathurst Motor Festival is an annual motor racing event held at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia during the Easter long weekend. The event was first held in 2011 as a replacement for the Festival of Sporting Cars and as a way to give a higher number of drivers the opportunity to drive on the circuit. The event plays host to a variety of racing categories, including production cars, sports cars, open-wheel racing cars and historic cars, which take part in sprint races, endurance races and regularity sessions. Around 300 vehicles are entered for the event each year, with crowds of up to and over 10,000 people attending the event. Car clubs also attend the event, displaying their cars within the confines of the circuit and performing parade laps. Since 2016, the Bathurst 6 Hour production car race has been the showpiece race of the event.
