The 1982 FIVB Women's World Championship was the ninth edition of the tournament, organised by the world's governing body, the FIVB. It was held from 12 to 25 September 1982 at six venues in six different cities in Peru. The finals were held at the Coliseo Amauta in Lima, Peru.
Cándida Estefany Arias Pérez is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who won the bronze medal with her native country at the 2008 NORCECA Girls' U18 Volleyball Continental Championship in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico wearing the number 15 jersey.
Coliseo Gran Chimú is an indoor sporting arena located in Trujillo, Peru. The capacity of the arena is 7,000 spectators and has hosted some 2011 FIVB Women's Junior World Championship, 1982 FIVB Women's World Championship, and Peru women's national volleyball team matches. It hosts indoor sporting events such as basketball, volleyball, and boxing.
The 2012 Women's Junior South American Volleyball Championship was the 21st edition of the tournament, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). It was determined February 26, 2011 the Peru would be the host. The top three teams qualified for the 2013 Junior World Championship.
The 2013 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 28th edition of the European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. It was hosted by Germany and Switzerland from 6 to 14 September 2013. The matches took place in 5 different cities with the final being played in Berlin.
Caterina Chiara Bosetti is an Italian professional volleyball player. She plays for Italy women's national volleyball team. She has competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics. She is 1.80 m tall

Lise Van Hecke is a Belgian female volleyball player. She is a member of the Belgium women's national volleyball team. She was part of the Belgian national team at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Italy.
The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup qualification is a series of tournaments to decide teams which will play in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup. The 2018 Challenger Cup will feature 6 teams. Only one place will be allocated to the hosts. The remaining 5 places will be determined by a qualification process, in which entrants from among the other teams from the five FIVB confederations will compete.
The 2019 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the 18th edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament. It was held in Trujillo and Chiclayo, Peru from 6 to 14 July. Eleven teams will compete in the tournament.
