The 2003 edition was played by twelve countries from July 21 to August 3, 2003 with the final round held in Andria, Italy. Hosts Italy and the top five ranked teams after the preliminary rounds qualified for the last round.

Coliseo Gran Chimú is an indoor sporting arena located in Trujillo, Peru. The capacity of the arena is 7,000 spectators and has hosted some 2011 FIVB Women's Junior World Championship, 1982 FIVB Women's World Championship, and Peru women's national volleyball team matches. It hosts indoor sporting events such as basketball, volleyball, and boxing.

The 2012 Women's Junior South American Volleyball Championship was the 21st edition of the tournament, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). It was determined February 26, 2011 the Peru would be the host. The top three teams qualified for the 2013 Junior World Championship.

The 2013 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 28th edition of the European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. It was hosted by Germany and Switzerland from 6 to 14 September 2013. The matches took place in 5 different cities with the final being played in Berlin.

The 2013 Girls Youth Volleyball World Championship was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from 26 July to 4 August 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament that features 20 teams.

The 2013 Women's Junior Volleyball World Championship was held in Czech Republic, for ten days between from 21 to 30 June 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament that features 20 teams.

The 2009 FIVB Girls Youth Volleyball World Championship was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from 3 to 12 July 2009. 16 teams participated in the tournament.

The 2012 Girls' Youth South American Volleyball Championship was the 18th edition of the tournament, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). The 2013 Copa Latina is the fifth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, organized by the Peruvian Volleyball Federation and Frecuencia Latina, played by four countries from May 9–12, 2013 in Coliseo Eduardo Dibos, Lima, Peru.

The 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 22nd edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 28 countries from 25 July to 24 August 2014. The Group 1 final round was held in Tokyo, Japan. The Brazilian star team won the tournament for the tenth time, the second consecutive victory.

The 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was the eighteenth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, which was hosted by Mexico from 11 to 20 September 2015 in the cities of Mexicali and Tijuana.

Lise Van Hecke is a Belgian female volleyball player. She is a member of the Belgium women's national volleyball team. She was part of the Belgian national team at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Italy.

The 2007 FIVB Girls Youth Volleyball World Championship was held in Tijuana / Mexicali, Mexico from 31 July to 11 August 2009. 16 teams participated in the tournament.

The 2018 FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup, a new annual women's international volleyball tournament contested by six national teams that acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League. The tournament took place in Lima, Peru from 17 to 24 August 2024.
