The 2011 Toronto Argonauts season was the 54th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 139th season overall. The Argonauts were eliminated from playoff contention on October 10, 2011 and failed to make a second straight playoff appearance, finishing fourth place in the East Division with a 6–12 record.
The 2011 CFL Draft took place on Sunday, May 8, 2011. [1] After trading their first round pick to Winnipeg for Steven Jyles, the Argonauts went into draft day without that pick. However, thanks to a trade with the Roughriders, Toronto selected offensive lineman Tyler Holmes with the seventh overall pick, by only giving up a second and a fourth pick. Overall, the Argonauts had seven selections in the draft. [2]

Ronald L. Flemons is a former gridiron football defensive lineman. He attended John Marshall High School and Texas A&M University. Flemons was drafted in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL Draft, 226th overall, by the Atlanta Falcons. He spent brief stints with several National Football League (NFL) teams before signing on in the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2006.
Steven Jyles is a former professional Canadian football quarterback. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League in 2006. He played college football for Louisiana–Monroe. Jyles was also a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Toronto Argonauts, and BC Lions.
Joseph Eppele is a former Canadian football offensive lineman. He was drafted second overall by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2010 CFL Draft, being the first offensive lineman taken while being ranked fifth overall by the CFL's Amateur Scouting Bureau. He played college football for the Washington State Cougars.
Cory James Greenwood is an Canadian professional football linebacker. He is a Grey Cup champion, having won the 106th Grey Cup with the Stampeders. He played college football for the Concordia Stingers from 2006 to 2009.

Ryan Bomben is a professional Canadian football offensive guard who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a four-time East Division All-Star and has also played for the Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Bomben played CIS football for the Guelph Gryphons.

The Argonauts finished in second place in the East Division with a respectable 9–9 record, improving on their 6–12 record from 2011. The Argos hosted their first home playoff game since 2007 against the Edmonton Eskimos, the crossover team from the West, which the Argos won 42–26. Their next opponent was the Montreal Alouettes. In a close game, the Argonauts came out on top 27–20 and made it to the Grey Cup game. The Argonauts won the 100th Grey Cup 35–22 over the Calgary Stampeders.

The Argonauts improved on their 4–14 record from their previous season in 2019 with a win in week 10 against the Ottawa Redblacks on October 6, 2021. The team qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2017, on October 30, 2021, with a win over the BC Lions. The Argonauts then clinched first place in the East Division after defeating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on November 12, 2021. However, the Argonauts lost to the same Tiger-Cats in the East Final after holding a 12–0 halftime lead, but were unable to score a touchdown and lost 27–19.

The 2023 Saskatchewan Roughriders season was the 65th season for the team in the Canadian Football League. It was the club's 114th year overall, and its 107th season of play. The Roughriders failed to qualify for the playoffs for the second consecutive season after they lost their final game of the year to the Toronto Argonauts. The 2023 CFL season was the fourth season under head coach Craig Dickenson and general manager Jeremy O'Day.
