The FIBA Africa Basketball League is the highest caliber men's professional basketball competition for clubs, organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries.
AfroBasket 2013 was the 27th FIBA Africa Championship, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and the FIBA Africa thereof. The tournament was hosted by Ivory Coast from August 20 to 31, all games were played at the Palais des Sports de Treichville, Abidjan.
The FIBA Africa Women's Clubs Champions Cup is the women's counterpart of the men's basketball competition FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup, therefore it is the main club competition for women's basketball in Africa. It is organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries.
