2013 FIBA Asia Championship Group C

Group C of the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship took place from 1 to 3 August 2011. This is the preliminary round of the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship, with the three teams with the best record (Iran, Korea, China) advancing to 2013 FIBA Asia Championship Group F. Malaysia, the last placed team, was relegated to the 13th–15th classification round.

All games were played at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines.

Summary

Iran opened the 2013 championship with an unprecedented 90-point win against Malaysia. In a close match between China and Korea, the match was tied with 30 seconds left when Cho Sung-min made his free throws to give the Koreans a two-point lead. Zhou Peng missed a shot for China, and Cho made both of his free throws off an intentional foul. The Koreans held on for the win when Chinese missed three more shots. On the next day, the Chinese scored a 91-point win against Malaysia, thereby eliminating them. Iran maintained a healthy lead against Korea in the second half, never relinquishing it to qualify for the next round. On the final day, the Malaysians had a better offensive output, but were still beaten by Korea, and Iran never relinquished the lead against China to win the group.

2011 FIBA Asia Championship

The 2011 FIBA Asia Championship for Men is the intercontinental championship for basketball organized by FIBA Asia that doubles as a qualifying tournament for the men's basketball tournament of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England, United Kingdom. The tournament was held in 15–25 September 2011 at Wuhan, Hubei, China. Lebanon was the original host for the event. Team China won the tournament, defeating Jordan 70–69 in the final. It was the first time in the history of FIBA Asia Championship that the title was won by just one single point.

The R. Williams Jones Cup Team is one of the teams under the auspices of the USA Basketball organization. The R. William Jones Cup competition is an international basketball tournament for men's and women's teams held in Taipei, Taiwan almost annually since the inaugural event in 1977. The event is named after Renato William Jones, the founding secretary-general of FIBA, the International Basketball Federation. USA Basketball organized the USA Women's team entry from the time of the inaugural event through the year 2000. In most years, the team was selected from university and high school all stars. In some years, the team was predominantly selected from one university or conference. For example, the 1990 entry was predominantly the North Carolina State team, plus four other players. The 1991 team was composed of all-star players from the Pac-10 Conference.

United States womens national under-19 basketball team

The USA women's national under-19 basketball team is the women's basketball team, administered by USA Basketball, that represents the United States in international under-19 and under-18 women's basketball competitions, consisting mainly of the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship for Women and FIBA Under-19 World Championship for Women. The events were originally referred to as the FIBA Americas Junior World Championship Qualifying Tournament and the FIBA Junior World Championship.

Group B of the 2010 FIBA World Championship commenced on August 28 and ended on September 2. The group played all of its games at Abdi İpekçi Arena in Istanbul, Turkey.

Group C of the 2010 FIBA World Championship commenced play on August 28 and ended September 2, 2010. The group played all of their games at Ankara Arena, Ankara, Turkey.

The knockout stage of the 2010 FIBA World Championship commenced play on September 4, 2010. The teams that finished fourth or higher at their respective preliminary round groups qualify for the knockout stage; the knockout stage is a modified single-elimination tournament, with a third–place game for the losers of the semifinals. The teams played all of their games at Sinan Erdem Dome, Istanbul, Turkey.

The USA women's national under-17 basketball team is the women's basketball team, administered by USA Basketball, that represents the United States in international under-17 and under-16 women's basketball competitions, consisting mainly of the FIBA Americas Under-16 Championship for Women and FIBA Under-17 World Championship for Women. United States womens national 3x3 team USA Womens 3x3 Team

The USA Women's 3x3 Teams are two of the teams under the auspices of the USA Basketball organization. In 2007, FIBA decided to start championships for the 3x3 event, starting in 2010. Two events are held, one for athletes under 18 years of age and one open event. The under 18 event (U18) is held every year, although in every fourth year, starting with 2010, the event is part of the Youth Olympic Games. The open events are held every other year, in even-numbered years, starting in 2012.

The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Final was the concluding basketball game which determined the winner of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The game was played on 15 September 2019, at the Wukesong Arena, in Beijing, China, between Argentina and Spain.

The 2014 Serbia FIBA Basketball World Cup team represented Serbia at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain. Serbia qualified for the World Cup by taking the 7th place in the 2013 EuroBasket. The Serbian team won the silver medal at the tournament.
