2013 FIBA Asia Championship Group E

Group E of the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship will take place from 5 to 7 August 2013. This is the second round of the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship. The four teams with the best record advance to 2013 FIBA Asia Championship final round.

Contents

All games will be played at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines. The competing teams are top three teams in Group A and Group B.

Basketball contests at the 1996 Olympic Games was the fourteenth appearance of the sport of basketball as an official Olympic medal event. It held from July 20, 1996 to August 4, 1996. Games took place in the Morehouse College Gymnasium and in the Georgia Dome.

2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup

The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 17th edition of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, the tournament previously known as the FIBA World Championship. Hosted by Spain, it was the last tournament to be held on the then-current four-year cycle. The next FIBA World Cup was held five years later, in 2019, to reset the four-year-cycle on a different year than the FIFA World Cup.

2011 FIBA Asia Championship

The 2011 FIBA Asia Championship for Men is the intercontinental championship for basketball organized by FIBA Asia that doubles as a qualifying tournament for the men's basketball tournament of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England, United Kingdom. The tournament was held in 15–25 September 2011 at Wuhan, Hubei, China. Lebanon was the original host for the event. Team China won the tournament, defeating Jordan 70–69 in the final. It was the first time in the history of FIBA Asia Championship that the title was won by just one single point.

2013 FIBA Asia Championship

The 2013 FIBA Asia Championship for Men was the intercontinental championship for basketball organized by FIBA Asia that served as the qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain. The tournament was held from August 1–11 in Metro Manila, Philippines. Beirut, Lebanon was supposed to host the tournament but the hosting rights was given to the Philippines citing the Syrian Civil War and security concerns in the Middle East in general. This was also the last Asian Championships that served as the qualifying round for the FIBA Basketball World Cup, as a qualifying window will be used starting 2019.

2013 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship

The 2013 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship was the 30th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship. 16 teams participated in the competition, held in Latvia, from 18 to 28 July 2013. Croatia were the defending champions. Turkey became the new champions, taking their first title.

Group B of the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship took place from 1 to 3 August 2013. This is the preliminary round of the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship, with the three teams with the best records advance to 2013 FIBA Asia Championship Group E.

Games, which will be held from August 5 to 11, are held in the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay and in the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in nearby Manila.

The 2014 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship for Women was the 31st edition of the European Under-18 Women's Basketball Championship. 16 teams featured in the competition, held in Matosinhos, Portugal, from 17 to 27 July 2014.

The 2014 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship was the 31st edition of the FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship. 16 teams participated in the competition, held in Konya, Turkey, from 24 July to 3 August 2014. The tournament served as the qualifying tournament for the 2015 FIBA Under-19 World Championship. Turkey also successfully defended their last year's title.

The 2015 FIBA Asia Championship was the 28th and last edition of the FIBA Asia Championship in men's basketball in Asia. It was organised by FIBA Asia.

The 2014 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship for Women was the 26th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship for Women. 16 teams featured in the competition, held in Debrecen, Hungary, from 31 July to 10 August 2014.

The basketball qualification for the Summer Olympics men's basketball tournament occurred from 2014 to 2016; all five FIBA zones sent in teams.

2017 FIBA Womens Asia Cup

The 2017 FIBA Women's Asia Cup was the qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia and FIBA Oceania at the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Spain. The tournament was held from 23 to 29 July in Bangalore, India. Before this edition, the tournament was known as the FIBA Asia Championship for Women, and only involved FIBA Asia members. FIBA Oceania teams Australia and New Zealand, as well as Fiji competed in the tournament for the first time.

The 2018 FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship for Women was the qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia at the 2019 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup. The tournament, which was also the 24th edition of the biennial competition, was held in Bangalore, India from October 28 to November 3. The top four teams qualified and will represent FIBA Asia in the 2019 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup in Thailand.
