The 2013 ICO Crossminton World Championships [1] was a crossminton tournament, taking place in Berlin, Germany, between 13 and 15 June 2013. With the 1st Crossminton World Championships being played in 2011 and the competition taking place every two years, the 2013 World Championships was the 2nd ICO Crossminton World Championships ever being played. 479 players from 29 countries participated at the event that took place at a time when crossminton was still named speed badminton.
The tournament, organised by Speedminton GmbH and International Speed Badminton Organisation, was played on outdoor tennis clay courts of the Steffi-Graf-Stadion in Berlin.

Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" and "doubles". Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the other team's half of the court.
The European Men's Handball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national handball teams of Europe and takes place every two years since 1994, in the even-numbered year between the World Championship. In addition to crowning the European champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games and World Championship. The most successful team is Sweden who have won five titles. Spain, however, have won most medals.

Koen Ridder is a Dutch badminton player. The left handler Ridder, was a part of the Duinwijck badminton club. He won the men's doubles title at the national championships in 2009, 2011, and 2013 partnered with Ruud Bosch. Together with Bosch, they won some international tournament in Portugal, Belgium, Canada, Slovenia, Norway, Peru and Tahiti. He also play for the Düren 57 club in German. His parents, Rob and Marjan Ridder also a professional badminton players. Koen Ridder was elected vice-chair of the athlete commission of the BWF for a 4-year term in May 2015. In 2017 Ridder was chosen as Chair by his fellow commission members. He achieved his personal best world ranking of 22 in 2013. Koen retired as a professional player in 2014 after representing The Netherlands for more than 10 years at international level.

Jasmina Keber is a triple World Champion and double European Champion crossminton player from Slovenia.
Akane Yamaguchi is a Japanese badminton player. She was a two-time world champion who won gold medals in the women's singles at the 2021 and 2022 World Championships. She was a member of the winning Japanese team at the Asian Junior Championships in 2012 and won the World Junior Championships in 2013 and 2014, the Asian Junior Championships in 2014, and the Asian Championships in 2019.
Kento Momota is a Japanese badminton player. He is known to have a skillful and relentless play style on court. He has won several major badminton tournaments including two World Championships titles, two Asian Championships titles, and one All England title. Momota entered into Guinness Book of World Records for "The most badminton men's singles titles in a season", for his achievements by winning 11 titles in the 2019 season.
Kenta Nishimoto is a Japanese badminton player. He won a silver medal in the men's singles at the 2017 Summer Universiade and a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games. Nishimoto was part of Japan winning team at the 2012 Asian Junior Championships and at the 2017 Asia Mixed Team Championships.
Mark Lamsfuß is a German badminton player and plays for the BC Wipperfeld. He and his partner, Isabel Lohau won a bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 2022 BWF World Championships.

With the 1st Crossminton World Championships being played in 2011 and the competition taking place every two years, the 2019 World Championships was the 5th Crossminton World Championships. 505 players from 23 countries participated at the event.

ISBO Azimut Hotels Speedminton® World Championships, was a crossminton tournament, taking place in Berlin, Germany, a between 24 and 25 August 2011. It was the 1st ever Crossminton World Championships to be played and 370 players from 29 countries participated at the event that took place at a time when crossminton was still named speed badminton.
