The 2013 San Diego Toreros football team represented the University of San Diego during the 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by first-year head coach Dale Lindsey and played their home games at Torero Stadium. They were a member of the Pioneer Football League. They finished the season 8–3, 7–1 in PFL play which would have been good enough for a tie for the league title. However, San Diego declared itself ineligible for the league title after improper scholarships were offered to football players. [1] Their official conference record for the season is recognized as 0–0.

Pioneer Football League Football-only athletic conference

The Pioneer Football League (PFL) is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the United States. The conference participates in the NCAA's Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) as a football-only conference. It has member schools that range from New York, North Carolina, and Florida in the east to California in the west. San Diego Toreros baseball

The San Diego Toreros baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball program of the University of San Diego, located in San Diego, California, United States. The program has been a member of the NCAA Division I West Coast Conference since prior to the 1985 season. Since 2013, its home venue has been Fowler Park, located on the University of San Diego campus. Rich Hill has been the program's head coach since prior to the 1999 season. As of the end of the 2012 season, the team has appeared in seven NCAA Tournaments, all since 2002. It has won four conference championship series, three regular season conference championships, and two regular season division championships. As of the start of the 2014 Major League Baseball season, 15 former Toreros have appeared in Major League Baseball.

Ronald Allen Caragher is an American college football coach. He has been the head coach at the University of San Diego and San Jose State. Originally from Morgan Hill, California, Caragher played college football at UCLA and later became an assistant coach for UCLA football, first as a graduate assistant from 1994 to 1995, then as wide receivers coach from 1996 to 2002. From 2003 to 2006, Caragher served as running backs coach for Kentucky and was part of the 2006 Music City Bowl championship coaching staff.

During the 2014 season, he rushed for over 1,200 yards, totaled over 1,700 all-purpose yards, and set a San Diego Toreros football record with 275 rushing yards in a game. He was selected as a first-team All-Pioneer Football League player in 2014.
