The 2014 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia was the 7th IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, an annual international ice hockey tournament held by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It took place between 16 and 22 March 2014 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. [1]

As of 28 May 2023, Kuwait is currently ranked 50th in the IIHF World Ranking. Kuwait participated in the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia, from 2010 to 2018. Kuwait made its World Championship debut at the 2018 Division III Qualification tournament.

The IIHF Asia and Oceania Championship are a series of international ice hockey tournaments in the continent of Asia. The purpose of the tournament is to provide competitive opportunities for Asian and Oceania teams that are either in the lower divisions of the IIHF World Championships or did not compete in any IIHF World Championships. The first edition was held in Hong Kong from 24 to 26 April 2008, with the second edition held a year later in the United Arab Emirates. The third edition took place from 29 March to 4 April 2010 in the Republic of China.

The 2012 IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia was the third IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia, an annual international ice hockey tournament held by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It was held from 15 February 2012 to 19 February 2012 in Qiqihar, China. Japan won the tournament for the second year in a row after defeating China's first team in the gold medal game. China's second team won bronze after defeating South Korea in the third place match.

It took place between 17 March and 25 March 2012 in Dehradun, India. The defending champions Hong Kong, who claimed their first title in 2011, did not send a team to this year's edition. Chinese Taipei, winners of the 2010 tournament competed after skipping the 2011 tournament. The United Arab Emirates won the tournament after defeating Thailand in the final and Malaysia finished in third after defeating Kuwait in the bronze medal match.

The New Zealand women's national under-18 ice hockey team is the women's national under-18 ice hockey team of New Zealand. The team is controlled by New Zealand Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The team entered their first World Women's U18 Championship tournaments in 2020.

The 2014 IIHF U20 Challenge Cup of Asia was an international men's under-20 ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The tournament took place between 4 August and 7 August 2014 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia and was the third edition held since its formation in 2012 under the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia series of tournaments. The MHL Red Stars won the tournament after winning all three of their round-robin games and finishing first in the standings. The win was the MHL Red Stars second title having previously won in 2012. Kazakhstan finished in second place and Japan finished third.

The 2018 IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia Division I was an international women's ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The tournament took place between 6 and 9 March 2018 at the Empire City Ice Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This edition marks the return of the Division I tournament after no division tournament was held in 2017.

The 2020 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia was to be the 13th edition of the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, an annual international ice hockey tournament held by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament was scheduled to take place from 27 April to 1 May 2020 in Singapore but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Singapore was selected to host the tournament for the first time. The 2019 fourth-place finishers Malaysia would not participate for the first time since the 2014 edition and was to make their World Championship debut in the inaugural Division IV of the 2020 World Championship, but the Division IV tournament was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. India was to return after a one-year absence, bringing the number of participants reduced from seven to six teams.

The 2019 IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia Division I was an international women's ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament took place between 14 April and 19 April 2019 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and was the fifth edition held since its formation in 2014 under the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia series of tournaments. The tournament made up the second level of competition sitting below the 2019 IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia. The Philippines won the tournament after finishing first in the standings. The United Arab Emirates finished in second place and India finished third.
