The 2015 KTM British Junior Cup was the first KTM British Junior Cup season. The KTM British Junior Cup Championship is a support category for the British Superbike Championship.
The British Superbike Championship (BSB), currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, is the leading road racing superbike championship in the United Kingdom, and is widely acknowledged as the premier domestic superbike racing series in the world.

KTM AG is an Austrian motorcycle and sports car manufacturer owned by KTM Industries AG and Indian manufacturer Bajaj Auto. It was formed in 1992 but traces its foundation to as early as 1934. Today, KTM AG is the parent company of the KTM Group.
Shane Byrne, often known as Shakey, is a British motorcycle road racer. He is a six-time champion of the British Superbike Championship, the only person in the history of the series to win six titles. He has also been a race winner in the Superbike World Championship and has competed in MotoGP.
The 2008 British Superbike Championship season was scheduled to begin on 6 April 2008; however, snow at Brands Hatch forced the abandonment of the day's races, which were later rescheduled. The series was rescheduled to start on 20 April and end on 12 October 2008.
The KTM 1190 RC8 was a sport bike made by KTM. The first generation 2008 model had a 1,148 cc (70.1 cu in) V-twin engine and was the Austrian manufacturer's first-ever Superbike design. The RC8 model was supplemented with RC8 R models one year later in 2009 and the RC8 designation had its last year of production in 2010. Current models from 2009 through 2013 use a 1,195 cc (72.9 cu in) V-twin engine with a twin spark per cylinder technology design debuting on the 2011 model.

Superbike racing is a category of motorcycle racing that employs highly modified production motorcycles, as opposed to MotoGP in which purpose-built motorcycles are used. The Superbike World Championship is the official world championship series, though national Superbike championships are held in many countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Australia and Canada. Superbike racing is generally popular with manufacturers, since it helps promote and sell their product, as captured by the slogan "Win on Sunday; Sell on Monday".

The British Supersport Championship, National Superstock 1000 & 600 and the British Motostar Championship are the four main championship series that are run as support races alongside the British Superbike Championship. In 2012 the Motostar category replaced the defunct 125cc category that had been running since the start of the British Superbike Championship in 1988, Motostar was open to both 125 and 250 machines similar to Moto 3 machines. The Supersport racing started in 1989 and is a class comprising 600cc Motorcycles that are allowed racing modifications and custom tuning. It wasn't until 2000 that the Superstock 1000 category replaced the defunct 250cc category, with the Superstock 600 championship being the newest addition on the support series in 2008. In 2010 the Superstock 1000 and Superstock 600 categories also supported the British rounds of the Superbike World Championship and the Moto GP both at Silverstone.
Danny Kent is a British motorcycle racer, best known for winning the 2015 Moto3 World Championship. In doing so he became Great Britain's first Grand Prix solo motorcycle world champion since Barry Sheene in 1977, as well as the first British lightweight class champion since Dave Simmonds in 1969.

Luca Grünwald is a German motorcycle racer from. He races KTM RC390 in the Supersport 300 World Championship. He is a former competitor of the ADAC Junior Cup, the IDM 125GP Championship, the IDM Moto3 Championship where he won the titles in 2010 and 2012 respectively, the IDM Supersport Championship, the IDM Superstock 1000 Championship and the IDM Superbike Championship.
Loris Baz is a motorcycle racer from France, who races in the Superbike World Championship for the Gulf Althea BMW Racing Team. He has previously competed in MotoGP, the FIM Superstock 1000 Championship, the British Superbike Championship and the European Superstock 600 Championship, where he was champion in 2008.
The European Junior Cup was a motorcycling series held as a support series for the European rounds of the Superbike World Championship, hence the title. It was open to riders aged between 14–19; for 2015 the upper limit was increased to 21 for males and 23 for females, who also competed for a Women's European Cup; for 2016 the age limit for female riders was 24.

Vasco van der Valk is a Dutch motorcycle road racer. He was second in the Dutch NSF100 Championship for Kids 2011, organised by former Grand Prix 125 rider Arie Molenaar. Later he was third in the Moriwaki 250 JuniorCup 2013 of Ten Kate Racing, after which he raced in British Motostar, support series to the British Superbike Championship, and with Supersport 600 machinery in the German IDM Championship.
