The 2015 Peru bus accident occurred on 24 March 2015, when a bus crashed into traffic in Peru, leaving at least 37 people dead [1] [2] and another 70 wounded. [3] [4] [5]

The accident took place on the Carretera Panamericana near Huarmey, around 320 km north of Lima. [5]

The bus, belonging to the Murga Serrano line, swerved on the incoming lane and hit a truck along with two more buses. [6]

On 7 February 2013, a bus collided with a semi-truck and a sport utility vehicle on the Great North Road, between the towns of Chibombo and Kabwe in the Central Province of Zambia, resulting in the deaths of 49 of the 73 persons on the bus, and of the truck driver and his assistant. A further 28 people were injured.

The 2015 Brazil bus accident occurred on 15 March 2015, when a tourist bus veered off a road and plunged approximately 100 metres (330 ft) into a ravine near the city of Joinville in Santa Catarina state in Brazil. At least 51 people died and 7 were injured in the accident.

Around 12:00 on 2 January 2018 a Peruvian bus carrying 57 passengers from Huacho to Lima went over a cliff after being struck by a tractor trailer near Pasamayo, Peru, killing 51 people and injuring at least 5 others. It is the deadliest road accident in Peruvian history, tied with the 2013 Peru bus disaster. The crash occurred near the 'Devil's Curve' highway, a precariously nicknamed route that is known for fatal traffic accidents.

On 26 November 2021, a bus crashed on the Joquicingo-Malinalco highway in Central Mexico, killing at least 19 people. A bus carrying Catholic pilgrims was travelling on a highway on route to a religious shrine when it crashed into a house.

On 20 August 2022, at least 35 people were killed in two separate bus crashes in Turkey. Despite their similarities, they are reportedly unlinked.

On 8 January 2023, 40 people were killed and 101 injured in central Senegal when two buses collided in Gniby near the regional capital of Kaffrine on the N1 national road.
