The 2015 Peru bus accident occurred on 24 March 2015, when a bus crashed into traffic in Peru, leaving at least 37 people dead [1] [2] and another 70 wounded. [3] [4] [5]

The accident took place on the Carretera Panamericana near Huarmey, around 320 km north of Lima. [6]

The bus, belonging to the Murga Serrano line, swerved on the incoming lane and hit a truck along with two more buses. [7]

On April 13, 2014, shortly after midnight, a bus traveling from Villahermosa to Mexico City collided with a broken-down truck and caught fire, killing at least 36 people, all of whom were businesspeople from the Veracruz region. There were four survivors. The collision took place near the municipality of Juan Rodriguez Clara, which is itself near Acayucan. The bus was owned by a car-rental company called "Turtle", and the truck was owned by a milk protein company called "Prolat". The truck had been on the shoulder of the highway prior to being hit by the bus. Javier Duarte, the governor of Veracruz, said that because the bus caught fire, it will be much more difficult to identify the victims' bodies. A Veracruz Civil Defense Agency official said the victims probably burned to death inside the bus.

On May 8, 2016, two buses and a fuel tanker collided on a major highway, killing at least 73 people in the Muqur district, Ghazni Province, Afghanistan on the Kabul-Kandahar highway. More than 50 other people injured in the accident were taken to hospital in Ghazni Province. All three vehicles were set ablaze and completely engulfed in fire after the collision on the main road linking the capital, Kabul, to the southern city of Kandahar.

Around 12:00 on 2 January 2018 a Peruvian bus carrying 57 passengers from Huacho to Lima went over a cliff after being struck by a tractor trailer near Pasamayo, Peru, killing 51 people and injuring at least 5 others. It is the deadliest road accident in Peruvian history, tied with the 2013 Peru bus disaster. The crash occurred near the 'Devil's Curve' highway, a precariously nicknamed route that is known for fatal traffic accidents.

On 20 August 2022, at least 35 people were killed in two separate bus crashes in Turkey. Despite their similarities, they are reportedly unlinked.
