A total of 11 candidates contested in the election. Darius Ishaku from the People's Democratic Party won the election, defeating Aisha Alhassan from the All Progressives Congress. ^{[76] [77] [78] [79] [80] [81] [82] [83] [84] [85]} Registered voters was 1,461,645, accredited voters was 787,516, votes cast was 681,166, 174,131 votes was cancelled.
