It was the sixth season of the Vietnam Futsal League, the Vietnam professional futsal league for association football clubs.

All Vietnam Futsal Championship is run by Vietnam Football Federation. Since 2015, it has been called Vietnam Futsal League and it has been divided into 2 stages: First-stage will be runs by 10 teams and Second-stage will run by top 8 best team in First-stage. Top 6 best team in second-stage will join the second-stage in next edition automatically

The 2014 AFC Futsal Championship was held in Vietnam from 30 April to 10 May 2014. 16 countries took part in the 13th edition of the tournament. Japan won the championship and successfully defended their title from the 2012 AFC Futsal Championship.

The futsal tournament at the 2013 Southeast Asian Games took place between December 9–20. This edition of the tournament featured both men's and women's tournaments. All matches took place in Wunna Theikdi Futsal, Naypyidaw. Official drawing took place on 6 November 2013 in Naypyitaw, Myanmar.
