The 2015 Women's Super 3s was the inaugural Women's Super 3s competition that took place in Ireland. It ran from May to August, with 3 teams taking part made up of the best players in Ireland, with the aim of bridging the gap between club cricket and international cricket. [1] The teams played 8 matches each, four 50 over matches and four Twenty20s. Scorchers were the inaugural winners of the competition, with five wins from their eight matches. [2]

Competition format

The three teams played eight matches each in a league system. Each team played the other two sides twice in a 50 over match and twice in a Twenty20 match, with all matches contributing to a unified table. [1] [2]

The league worked on a points system with positions being based on the total points. Points were awarded as follows:

Win: 2 points.
Tie : 1 point.
Loss: 0 points.
Abandoned/No Result: 1 point.

The Women's Big Bash League is the Australian women's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition. The WBBL replaced the Australian Women's Twenty20 Cup, which ran from the 2007–08 season through to 2014–15. Lancashire Women won the County Championship as winners of the top division with Yorkshire finishing runners-up. This was Lancashire's first Championship, and their victory saw them complete the double, after winning the Twenty20 Cup earlier in the season.

The 2005 Super Fours was the fourth cricket Super Fours season. It took place in June and July and saw 4 teams compete in a 50 over league and a Twenty20 league. Knight Riders won the 50 over league, achieving their second title, whilst V Team won the Twenty20 league, also achieving their second title in the format, and their second in two years.

The 2006 Super Fours was the fifth cricket Super Fours season. It took place from May to July and saw 4 teams compete in a 50 over league and a Twenty20 knockout tournament. The competing teams were renamed from the 2005 season, with Braves, Knight Riders, Super Strikers and V Team becoming Rubies, Diamonds, Emeralds and Sapphires, respectively. Sapphires won the 50 over league, whilst Diamonds beat Sapphires in the final of the Twenty20 tournament.

The 2002 Super Fours was the inaugural cricket Super Fours tournament. It took place in May and June and saw 4 teams compete in a 50 over league. The tournament was conceived as a way of bridging the gap between women's county cricket and international cricket, and preparing players for the upcoming England internationals. Braves were the first winners of the competition, winning four out of six games.

The 2021 Arachas Super 20 Trophy was the Twenty20 section of the seventh Women's Super Series competition that took place in Ireland from 3 May to 15 August 2021. The tournament ran alongside the 50 over Arachas Super 50 Cup.

Scorchers are an Irish women's cricket team that compete in the Women's Super Series. The team has no geographical base, instead being made up of some of the best players from across Ireland. They are captained by Gaby Lewis and coached by Glenn Querl. They have won six Super Series tournaments.

The 2020 Women's Super Series was the sixth Women's Super Series competition that took place in Ireland. The tournament was originally scheduled to take place in May and June with 3 teams taking part, but was delayed and restructured due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament eventually took place in August and September, with two teams taking part and eight 50 over matches taking place. Typhoons won the tournament, achieving their first Super Series title.

The 2021 Arachas Super 50 Cup was the 50 over section of the seventh Women's Super Series competition, taking place in Ireland. The tournament ran from April to June, alongside the Twenty20 Arachas Super 20 Trophy. Due to the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, only two teams competed in the tournament, compared to three in seasons before the pandemic. Scorchers won the tournament, winning four of the seven matches.

The 2014–15 Senior Women's T20 League was the 7th edition of the women's Twenty20 cricket competition in India. It took place in January 2015 with 26 teams divided into an Elite Group and a Plate Group. Railways won the tournament, their sixth in a row, by topping the Elite Group Super League.
