Louise Noreen McCarthy (born 18 October 1993) is an Irish cricketer who plays as a right-arm medium bowler. She made her international debut for Ireland in 2010 at the age of 16,and went on to play 28 One Day Internationals and 28 Twenty20 Internationals between 2010 and 2017. [1] In June 2020,she was added to Ireland's training squad following a three-year absence. [2] In July 2020,she was awarded a non-retainer contract by Cricket Ireland for the following year. [3] She has played domestic cricket for all three of the Women's Super Series teams,as well as spending the 2019 season with Durham. [4] [5] She is the sister of Barry McCarthy,who played for Durham and Ireland. [6]
William Thomas Stuart Porterfield is an Irish former cricketer and a former captain of the Ireland cricket team. He played first-class cricket for Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. A left-handed batsman,he played for Ireland from 2006 to 2022,and has captained Ireland at all levels from Under-13 and is considered one of the greatest Irish cricketers of all time. During Afghanistan T20I series in March 2017,he passed 1,000 runs in T20Is and became the first player from Ireland to do so. In May 2018,he was named as the captain of Ireland's squad for their first ever Test match,against Pakistan. He announced his retirement from international cricket on 16 June 2022.
Laura Alexandra Marsh is an English former cricketer. Born in Pembury,Kent,she began playing cricket at 11 and started her career as a medium pace bowler but found greater success when she switched to off spin. She played county cricket for Kent Women,represents the Rubies and made her Test debut against India in 2006. She was part of the England team that retained the Ashes in Australia in 2008 and in England in 2009. She was also part of teams that won the Women's Cricket World Cup in 2009 and 2017. In December 2019,Marsh announced her retirement from international cricket,and announced her retirement from all forms of the game in August 2020. In April 2022,she became interim head coach of Sunrisers for the 2022 season.
Paul Robert Stirling is an Irish cricketer. Stirling is the opening batsman for the Ireland cricket team and an occasional right-arm,off-break bowler. He is one of the top 10 run scorers in T20 internationals. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Ireland's first ever Test match,against Pakistan,in May 2018. He was appointed as the vice-captain of the Ireland team in June 2020. He subsequently served as interim captain of Ireland in the T20I and ODI format following the resignation of Andrew Balbirnie,before being appointed as permanent limited-overs captain in October 2023.
