The 2016 Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship was held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from 9 to 17 July 2016. [1] The top two teams qualified for the 2017 U21 World Championship.

Contents

Pools composition

Teams were seeded in the first two positions of each pool following the Serpentine system according to their final standing of the 2014 edition. AVC reserved the right to seed the hosts as head of Pool A regardless of the final standing of the 2014 edition. All teams not seeded were drawn. Final standing of the 2014 edition are shown in brackets except Hosts who ranked 6th.

The 2016 FIVB Volleyball World League was the 27th edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament which was played by a record of 36 teams from 16 June to 17 July 2016. The Group 1 final round was held in Kraków, Poland. After being runners-up on five occasions, Serbia finally claimed their first World League after prevailing over Brazil in straight sets. The defending champions France claimed their first ever bronze medal at the World League after a fast victory in straight sets against Italy. Marko Ivović was elected the most valuable player.

The 2015 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the 16th staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Taipei, Taiwan from 13 to 21 August 2015. The champions qualified for the 2016 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship as Asia's representative.

The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship was the fifteenth edition of the international volleyball tournament and the world championship for women's national teams under the age of 18, organized by the sport's world governing body, FIVB. The tournament was hosted by Argentina in the cities of Rosario and Santa Fe from 18 to 27 August 2017. 20 teams from the 5 confederations competed in the tournament.

The tournament was held in Riffa, Bahrain from 18 to 27 August 2017. 20 teams from the 5 confederations competed in the tournament.

The 2017 FIVB Volleyball World League was the 28th edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament played by 36 teams between 2 June and 8 July. The Group 1 Final Round was held in Curitiba, Brazil.

The 2016 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the 17th staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar from 23 to 31 August 2016. The champions qualified for the 2017 Club World Championship as Asia's representative.

The 2017 Asian Boys' U19 Volleyball Championship was held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar from 28 March to 5 April 2017. The tournament served as the Asian qualifier for the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship held in Bahrain which the top four ranked teams qualified for the World Championship.

The 2017 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the 18th staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Ninh Bình and Nam Định, Vietnam from 28 June to 6 July 2017.

The 2019 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 31st edition of the Women's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV from 23 August to 8 September 2019. For the first time the Women's EuroVolley was held in four countries: Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Turkey. The number of national teams participating in the event was also expanded from 16 to 24.

The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was the twentieth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, contested by the men's national teams under the age of 21 of the members of the FIVB, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held in Riffa, Bahrain from 18 to 27 July 2019. 16 teams from the 5 confederations competed in the tournament.
