M. Balamuralikrishna Carnatic vocalist, instrumentalist and playback singer

Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna was an Indian Carnatic vocalist, musician, multi-instrumentalist, playback singer, composer, and character actor. He was awarded the Madras Music Academy's Sangeetha Kalanidhi in 1978. He has garnered two National Film Awards, the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1975, the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian honor in 1991, for his contribution towards arts, the Mahatma Gandhi Silver Medal from UNESCO in 1995, the Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government in 2005, the Sangeetha Kalanidhi by Madras Music Academy, and the Sangeetha Kalasikhamani in 1991, by the Fine Arts Society, Chennai to name a few.

Kunnisseri Veettil Raman Mani, better known by his stage name Kalabhavan Mani, was an Indian film actor and singer. Mani started his career as a mimicry artist with the Kalabhavan troupe. He has starred in over 200 films, including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films, and is renowned for his humorous characters and villain roles. He received the National Film Award – Special Jury Award and Kerala State Film Award for his performance as Ramu in Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum (1999).

Aswathi Thirunal Rama Varma, better known as Prince Rama Varma, is an Indian classical musician and a member of the Royal Family of Travancore. Ajit Singh Varman, sometimes also credited as Ajit Verman, was an Indian film music composer. He started his career in the 1960s as a musician for the likes of Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen, Pankaj Mullick and Salil Chowdhury in Calcutta as well as Shankar Jaikishan and Laxmikant Pyarelal in the 1970s in Mumbai till 1975 when he decided to make the transition to full-time music direction.

Kalabhavan also known as Cochin Kalabhavan is a centre for learning performing arts in Kochi, India. Vellore G. Ramabhadran was a Mridangam artiste from Tamil Nadu, India. He was awarded the Madras Music Academy's Sangeetha Kalanidhi in 2004.

"Paluke Bangaaramaayena" is a popular Telugu composition of Kancherla Gopanna, popularly known as "Bhakta Ramadasu" or "Bhadrachala Ramadasu" who lived in the 17th century. He had written hundreds of thousands of songs on Lord Sri Rama. His music is not available. India's most famous classical musician Dr M. Balamuralikrishna gave music to his songs and popularized his compositions in 1950s. This song is composed in raga Anandabhairavi of Carnatic music set to Adi tala.
