The 2016–17 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the 16th season of this championship, with 11 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina participating in it. Igokea, the defending champion, will join the tournament directly in the second stage.

The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the top tier basketball competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina for men and women, respectively. Both leagues are operated by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the end of the season in both leagues, the winners in the second tier leagues are invited to enter the competition, while the bottom two teams lose their places.

KK Igokea

Košarkaški klub Igokea, commonly referred to as KK Igokea or simply Igokea, is a professional Bosnian basketball club from Aleksandrovac, Laktaši municipality, Republika Srpska. The club currently participates in the Adriatic League and the Bosnian League.
