The 2017 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship was the 18th edition of the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, an international volleyball club tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Volleyball Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (VFRK). It was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan from 25 to 31 May 2017. The tournament will serve as the Asian qualifiers for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship with the champion qualifying for the world championship.
Kazakhstan, officially the Republic of Kazakhstan, is the world's largest landlocked country, and the ninth largest in the world, with an area of 2,724,900 square kilometres (1,052,100 sq mi). It is a transcontinental country largely located in Asia; the most western parts are located in Europe. Seyed Mohammad Mousavi Eraghi is a volleyball player from Iran, who plays as a middle blocker for the Men's National Team and Sarmayeh Bank Tehran Club. He participated in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Łukasz Tomasz Żygadło is a Polish volleyball player, a member of Poland men's national volleyball team and Polish club Stocznia Szczecin, a participant of the Olympic Games London 2012, gold medalist of the 2012 World League, silver medalist of the 2006 World Championship and the 2011 World Cup, bronze medalist of the 2011 World League and the 2011 European Championship, 2000 Polish Champion, 2012 and 2015 Italian Champion, two times 2016, 2017 Iranian Champion, two times winner of AVC Asian Club Championships. He is medalist of leagues: Polish, Greek, Italian, Iranian and Turkish. He is a multiple winner of the CEV Champions League and FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship with the Italian club Trentino Volley. He is one of the most successful Polish volleyball players.
Shahram Mahmoudi is an Iranian volleyball player who plays for Sarmayeh Bank Tehran and played with the Iran men's national volleyball team in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Mahmoudi debut national game in 2013 Grand Championship did with invitations Julio Velasco. He is the younger brother of volleyball player Behnam Mahmoudi. He and his brother are originally from Mianeh, East Azerbaijan. Mahmoudi have been three times named Most Valuable Player in Asian Club Championship.
Mehdi Mahdavi is an Iranian volleyball player, who former played as a setter for the Iran national team of the year 2007–2016. After participating in the 2016 Olympic Games he announced his retirement from the national team aiming to give more chances to younger player. Mahdavi is married and has one daughter.
Farhad Nazari Afshar is an Iranian volleyball player, who former plays as an outside hitter for the Men's National Team of the year 2009–2017. Nazari Afshar announced his retirement on Sunday in Osaka after 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Grand Champions Cup.
Mojtaba Mirzajanpour Muziraji is an Iranian volleyball player, a member of the Iranian national team and Serie A1 club BCC Castellana Grotte.
