The A1 motorway is the longest motorway in Croatia, spanning 476.3 kilometers (296.0 mi). As it connects the nation's capital Zagreb to the second largest city Split, the motorway represents a major north–south transportation corridor in Croatia and a significant part of the Adriatic–Ionian motorway. Apart from Zagreb and Split, the A1 motorway runs near a number of major Croatian cities, provides access to several national parks or nature parks, world heritage sites, and numerous resorts, especially along the Adriatic Coast. The 1992 Croatian First Football League was the first season of the top Croatian football league. It was the inaugural season of the league established following Croatia's independence from Yugoslavia. Affected by the political and social upheavals stemming from the breakup of Yugoslavia and the early stages of the 1991–95 war, the season was drastically shortened and played over the course of less than four months, from 29 February to 13 June.

NK Vinogradar was a Croatian football club based in the village of Lokošin Dol, part of the town of Jastrebarsko. The club merged with NK Jaska in 2021 after the death of Ivan Rubinić, the former owner who helped the club become well-known as a well-run amateur team in the 2000s and 2010s with a number of cup runs.
Filip Filipović is a Serbian water polo player. He was a member of the Serbia men's national water polo teams that won bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and gold medals in 2016 and 2020. He also held the world title in 2009 and 2015 and the European title in 2003, 2006, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. He was named Most Valuable Player at the 2011 World Championships. He was also voted as the male water polo "Athlete of the Year" in 2011 and 2014 by the FINA magazine. He played for Pro Recco in Italy and won the 2010 LEN Champions League and the LEN Supercup with them. Currently, he plays for Olympiacos.
Duško Pijetlović is a Serbian water polo center forward for VK Novi Beograd. He was a member of the Serbia men's national water polo teams that won Olympic gold medals in 2016 and 2020, and bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. He held the world title in 2009 and 2015 and the European title in 2006, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. Pijetlović won three consecutive Euroleague titles with three teams: in 2011 with Partizan in 2012 with Pro Recco and in 2013 with Crvena Zvezda.
The Regional Water Polo League, commonly known as the Regional League or Adriatic League, is a regional water polo league in Southeast Europe. Originally, the league featured clubs from Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia. In later years, clubs from Serbia joined the league and in one season club from Italy participated in the league.
The 2011–12 Croatian Football Cup was the twenty-first season of Croatia's football knockout competition. The defending champions were Dinamo Zagreb, having won their 11th title the previous year by defeating Varaždin in the final.
Veljko Mršić is a Croatian professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Croatia national team.
Felipe Perrone Rocha is a Spanish-Brazilian water polo player. He competed for Spain from 2003 until 2013, including in the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. Afterwards he competed for his birth country in the 2016 Summer Olympics, as Brazil earned its first qualifying spot in 32 years as hosts. He helped Spanish water polo club CN Atlètic-Barceloneta win the LEN Champions League in 2013–14 season. His brother Ricardo Perrone also competed for Spain in water polo.

Swimming Pool Gruž or Jug Swimming Pool is a swimming pool in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Andrija Komadina is a Croatian former professional water polo player. He was a member of the Croatia men's national water polo team, played as a defender. He was a part of the Croatian team that won the fourth place at the 2005 World Championship and the fourth plaće at the 2006 World Cup. On club level, he played most notably for VK Šibenik, HAVK Mladost, VK Jug Dubrovnik and VK Solaris in Croatia, as well as for Olympiacos in Greece. As a member of Jug Dubrovnik, he won the 2005–06 LEN Euroleague and as a member of Olympiacos from 2006 to 2011 he won 5 Greek Championships (2007–2011), 5 Greek Cups (2007–2011) and the fourth place in the Final Four of the 2006–07 LEN Euroleague.He is currently the president of VK Vodice. He is 6 ft 5 in tall and weighs 240 lb.

The 2019–20 LEN Euro Cup was the 28th edition of the second-tier European tournament for water polo clubs. It ran from 13 September 2019 to 9 May 2020.
The 2016 LEN Super Cup was the 35th edition of the annual trophy organised by LEN and contested by the reigning champions of the two European competitions for men's water polo clubs. The match took place between Croatian side VK Jug and Italian side AN Brescia at the Gruž City Pool in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on 14 December 2016.
