The 2017 Cumilla City Corporation election was an election in Cumilla,Bangladesh.The election was held on 30 March 2017.This was the second election of the City Corporation since its establishment.In the election, incumbent BNP's Monirul Haque Sakku won defeating his closest rival Awami League's Anjum Sultana Sima. Monirul Haque Sakku is a Bangladeshi politician and the first and former mayor of the Cumilla City Corporation as a candidate of Bangladesh Nationalist Party. On 19 May 2022, he was expelled from BNP for breaching party discipline and again joined BNP in 2023. He was pourashva mayor before 2012. He has a daughter, Sunzida Haque.
