The 2017 Phillips 66 National Swimming Championships were held from June 27 to July 1, 2017, at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. [1]
The United States Swimming National Championships are held annually, in summer. The event is organized by USA Swimming, and is held in a long course (50m) pool. In the past, and as recently as 2007, there were 2 meets annually: and Spring and Summer Nationals. The Spring meet began as a 25-yard meet, while the Summer meet was long course. Prior to USA Swimming's creation in the late 1970s, the meet was run by the AAU.
Indiana University Natatorium is a swimming complex on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It also serves as the home of the IUPUI School Health and Human Science with its offices on the second level and the Polaris Fitness Center on the first level. The Human Performance Lab is housed in the basement of the Natatorium building.

London Welsh Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club formed in 1885. Based in Old Deer Park, Richmond-upon-Thames, London Welsh RFC played in the English Premiership in the 2012–13 and 2014–15 seasons, after gaining promotion from the RFU Championship in the 2012 and 2014 play-off final. The club returned to Old Deer Park in 2015 after three seasons at the Kassam Stadium, Oxford.

The 2007–08 Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team represented the University of Kansas for the NCAA Division I men's intercollegiate basketball season of 2007–2008. The team was led by Bill Self in his fifth season as head coach. The team played its home games in Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas. The team won the 2007–2008 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, marking the third tournament title in the school's history and fifth national title overall.
Gerald Tucker was the head coach on the 1956 USA Men's Basketball Gold Medal Olympic Team. He was the coach of Bartlesville Phillips 66ers for four seasons from 1954-58 having the most wins in the National Industrial Basketball League in each of those 4 seasons. In 1955 Bartlesville Phillips 66ers won the AAU National Basketball Championship against the Luckett-Nix Clippers of Boulder, Colorado, winning 66-64 and in 1956 they were the runners-up to the Buchan Bakers of Seattle, losing 59-57.
Omar "Bud" Browning was an American basketball coach. In 1948, he became the United States' second Summer Olympics men's basketball head coach. Browning led 1948 USA team to a final record of 8-0, en route to a gold medal at the 1948 Summer Olympics basketball tournament, in London. Browning became the winning-est coach in AAU tournament history, when his teams won AAU championships in 1962 and 1963.
David Edward Plummer is a retired American competition swimmer who specialized in backstroke events. He won bronze and gold medals at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The Phillips 66ers were an amateur basketball team located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and sponsored and run by the Phillips Petroleum Company. The 66ers were a national phenomenon that grew from a small-town team to an organization of accomplished amateur athletes receiving national and worldwide attention. Under the sponsorship of the company's owner, Frank Phillips, the team, which began playing in 1919, participated in the Amateur Athletic Union, the nation’s premier basketball league before the National Basketball Association. Between 1920 and 1950, some of the strongest basketball teams in the United States were sponsored by corporations—Phillips 66, 20th Century Fox, Safeway Inc., Caterpillar Inc., and others.
The 2012 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship was held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri from March 7 until March 10, 2012. Due to a major conference realignment that significantly impacted the Big 12, It was the first tournament with 10 teams participating. After the 2010–11 season, Colorado left for the Pac-12 and Nebraska joined the Big Ten. It was also the final appearance in this event for Texas A&M and Missouri before they joined the Southeastern Conference for the 2012–13 season. The conference will continue to have 10 schools in that season, as TCU and West Virginia will join the Big 12, respectively from the Mountain West Conference and Big East Conference.
Ryan Murphy is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in backstroke. He is a three-time Olympic gold medalist and world-record holder in the men's 100-meter backstroke.
Phillip Hung Chew is an American badminton player. He won two gold medals in men's and mixed doubles at the 2015 Pan-Am Games. Chew also participated in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. He represented the United States in both mixed doubles and men's doubles events. He trains at the Orange County Badminton Club, which is founded by his grandfather, Don Chew.

The 2014 Big 12 Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 21 through May 25 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. The annual tournament determined the conference champion of the Division I Big 12 Conference for college baseball. TCU won the tournament for the first time, earning the league's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
