The 2018 American Athletic Conference men's soccer season was the 6th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The season began on August 24 and concluded on November 11, 2018.
The regular season was won by UCF, who finished conference play with a 5–1–1 record, and won on tiebreakers against SMU. SMU won the American Tournament, defeating UCF 5–4 in penalty kicks following a 1–1 draw in regulation and overtime. SMU earned the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament, while UCF and Connecticut received at-large berths into the tournament. In the NCAA Tournament, SMU lost in the first round to Oregon State. [1] [2] Connecticut beat rivals, Rhode Island, [3] in the first round, before losing to Indiana in the second round. [4] UCF was one of the 16 seeded teams (seeded 14th), [5] allowing them to earn a bye into the second round. There, they lost in overtime to Lipscomb. [6]
Following the season, Cal Jennings won the Offensive MVP award for the conference. Jacob Hauser-Ramsey of Connecticut won the Defensive MVP. Fellow UCF players, Louis Perez, Yannik Oettl, and Scott Calabrese won the AAC Midfielder, Goalkeeper, and Coach of the Year awards, respectively. [7] Perez and Jennings were also named All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches. [8]
Emil Cuello was the first AAC player to be drafted in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, when he was selected by the LA Galaxy with the 19th overall pick in the first round of the draft.

The 2013 American Athletic Conference men's soccer tournament was the first postseason tournament in men's soccer for the American Athletic Conference following the 2013 split of the original Big East Conference along football lines. The "Big East" name was purchased by the seven non-FBS football schools of the original conference, while the Big East charter was retained by the FBS schools now operating as The American. Including the history of the original Big East, which is jointly claimed by both successor conferences, this was The American's 18th men's soccer tournament.
The 2017–18 Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball team represented the University of Cincinnati in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team played its home games at the BB&T Arena on the campus of Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky due to renovations at their home arena, Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats were led by 12th-year head coach Mick Cronin and are members of the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season 31–5, 16–2 in AAC play to win the regular season championship. They defeated SMU, Memphis, and Houston to win the AAC tournament and received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. As the No. 2 seed in the South region, they defeated Georgia State in the First Round before being upset by Nevada in the Second Round. In their loss to Nevada, they were up 22 before losing 75-73, tying the second largest comeback in NCAA Tournament history.

The 2019 season was Kevin Hudson's fifth year as head coach for the program.
The 2019 American Athletic Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the American Athletic Conference held from November 3 to November 10, 2019. The first round was hosted by the higher seed, and the Semifinals and Final took place at the home field of the regular season champion. Memphis. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Memphis are the defending tournament champions. Memphis was unable to defend its title, losing 2–0 to South Florida in the final. USF's win was the program's second and also the second for coach Denise Schilte-Brown.

The season marked the 49th basketball season for USF, the eighth as a member of the American Athletic Conference, and the fourth season under head coach Brian Gregory. The Bulls play their home games at Yuengling Center on the university's Tampa, Florida campus. The season ended on March 12, 2021 with a 68–67 loss to regular season conference champion Wichita State in the second round of the AAC tournament.

Despite their 18–3 record being one of the best in the nation and being ranked 19th in the AP Poll at the time of selection, the Bulls were selected as the eighth seed in the Mercado Region of the 2021 NCAA tournament. Their season ended on March 23, 2021 with the Bulls losing to No. 1 seed NC State in the Round of 32.
